No big clubs were in for Aurier. Definitely not Chelsea anyway. He was made available for sale at the end of last season. So they had plenty of time to seal this deal if they wanted to. This "exclussivity clause" is an utter bollox from the usual crap from Daily Fail

Chelsea signed six players, but let the same amount of players go. Everton were the only club who signed more players than Chelsea this transfer window.

Perhaps Daniel has learned after the Willian debacle. Still, if the player hadn't wanted to join he couldn't be forced could he. All this nonsense about wanting to join other clubs is just clickbait.

I think Chelsea thought they'll hoodwink their fans by sneaking a player who's destined to Spurs and get a player non one wants Drinky to appease their glory boys fans

Fair Play to Darth... He's a sneaky smart SOB despite some of our frustrations with him. For what its worth I read this am that Everton refused to even talk to us over Barkely yesterday as they know what his game is & were not prepared to play ball & that's the reason Barkley back tracked on the deal as he knew he was being shoehorned into the only offer on the table.... Perhaps Dan needs to learn this lesson & mix it up a bit. We all agree that paying Everton the 50mln they wanted was madness & never gonna happen but couldn't we have got the deal done 36 hours earlier for $35mln. ??????? Were Chelsea really gonna fight us that hard knowing the they were the only game in town for Drinkwater.... Neither of them are gonna start for them anyway

They say he is out till December. Why buy him now for 35 and pay his wages when we can get him in Jan for much less. He wants to come to us so we can just give him a huge sign on fee.

I agree mate, my point was that Everton refusing to deal with us on deadline day is slightly worrying that Darth has created such a rep for himself that It might be detrimental to us in the future. Being a pain in the B@llz is all well and good but as proved yesterday its getting harder & harder to get deals done. Overall I thought he did well but having signed Llorente I would have loved Mahrez (someone who can beat a man & put in a good cross), I'm pretty sure LLorente scored the most headers in the league

He can do his own deal in January. Ok he cannot leave until June next year but still.
