Costa

I know for contract reasons hes been included in the 25 man squad but do you think there's any chance he'll wear a Chelsea shirt this season or perhaps just play a few games with the development squad?

While Costa isn’t expected to ever play for Chelsea again, the move underlines Chelsea’s official stance that he is expected to report back to the club at some point so that he can be un-fattened down for a transfer. It also supports the club’s position in any legal proceedings that may stem from the threats made by both sides earlier this summer, with Costa’s lawyer claiming discrimination or perhaps constructive dismissal and Chelsea responding in kind with fines and threats.

My guess is that the bridges between club and player are burned so beyond repair that even if Antonio Conte were to be sacked tomorrow, Costa would not be welcomed back.

That said, Costa was a friend to most inside the clubhouse so even if the business side of things has turned nasty, the personal side remains mostly cordial.

A bit more odd in Chelsea’s official squad list is the inclusion of Rémy, who’s since been sold, and the absence of Baba Rahman, whom many expected to play at least a token part for Chelsea as he recovers from his ACL and meniscus tears. Rémy’s inclusion is even more of a waste of a spot than Costa’s!

Chelsea's squad

GK
Teebo, Caballero, Eduard

Defenders
Luiz, Cahill, Azpi, Rudiger and Christensen

WB
Alonso, Moses, Kenedy and Zapacosta

CM
Kante, Cesc, Baka and Drinkwater

AM
Hazard, Pedro, Willian and Musonda

Strikers
Morota and Batshuayi

HG players - Cesc, Cahil, Drinkwater and Moses

U21 - Christensen, Musonda and Kenedy

Llorente would made us a bit more stronger in the attack, but other than that, I think this team is capable of fighting on all fronts

What would Costa do for you? You've seen how his attitude stinks when he's happy, when he's not, he'll just down tools. Chelsea's best bet is that he keeps breaching contract and that they fine his ass off!

If his attitude was so "stinky" it would not be consistent with the reported cordial relationships with his fellow team mates.
Besides ..his attitude be damned ,Its his goal scoring we need. And if Conte does not make an attempt at reconciliation (he being mentor) and Costa apologising and requesting reinstatement, then it will be lose/lose for all concerned.
Who here knows what really happened? All is conjecture for now. Has the line been crossed to deny a possible comeback? Only those close to the protagonists know the answer. All the rest is media manipulation and presumption.

agreed, he is 100% toxic and can not be allowed anywhere near the first team squad.

Also, it didn't seem like other teams, here and abroad, had been clamoring to pick him up?
