Worth a listen, Orta answering fans questions,
Lasogga is premier class but has come to Leeds to establish himself again having lost his way,
TC has last word on all signings,
Not a fan of the January window and will only sign someone if we have an emergency,
Plenty of other stuff in the interview, need to concentrate though,
Ask Victor

Rich, exactly, you can see how destructive amongst fan base previous owners were and indeed some fans themselves.

ive not been blown away in terms of net spend and really having a go with some proven/certain promotion quality players coming in.
but i think they have been smart, players from abroad always leaked, fans get to research build 'hype' about them and were delighted to see 2m quid players coming in. Also you only have to look at villa to see buying 'proven quality' in this league doesnt always work out instantly.
but off the pitch in terms of PR, re building relationships (council, lucy ward etc) offers on tickets (33% off in bundles, kids for a quid etc) is where this team seem to be excelling atm.
I just hope we can build on this start.

Yup word of mouth advertising is the cheapest and best jonty... you need a credible end product for it to work though.
Radz has a background in PR and it's pretty obvious from how he's running the club. It's part giving people what they want to hear... all the mot stuff... but appearing honest and open (key word being 'appearing'!). I think they've pitched it well...
They talk about not having parachute money, so they set expectations... they talk about English players being important but value better on the continent... our English signings are loans, our Europeans typically bought outright (lasogga the exception).
If Cellino had sold wood, and replaced him with two European kids and an out of favour loanee, there'd be hell on here. Because of the communication/trust what we hear is excitement at the new lads and a trust in the management team.
All of which could turn on a few bad results! I'm holding my expectations back for a few more games yet before I declare myself a believer in the whole management team... but I do believe from what I've seen that Radz himself has a plan that involves creating Leeds into a valuable asset... the net effect of which at some point this year, next year,or the year after will mean a club and team the fans can be proud of. Promising signs.

Some great comments on this thread, not least Jonty's about how mismanagement and neglect sows discontent creating a regenerating cycle of negativity which is so hard to escape/break.
It's true that I have bought in fully to AR's PR and that it's early days, perhaps too early. I guess I am so desperate for the regeneration to happen!
But I also want it to happen for the right reasons and in the right way. I don't want to go into the playoffs; I want us to blow everyone in this league away entirely; and without spending stupid money like we did before; and I want us to do it in style.
What is the PR value of 'the story'? Look at Leicester's PL triumph - their story defied all expectation, all economic rationalism. But the story itself, the romance of those 'plucky underdogs' winning the PL despite the megabucks being splashed around by others, almost seemed like an irresistible tractor beam spurring the team on to outperform their own expectations again and again. Our story can do the same for us. The difference between us and Leicester is that their fan base was not globally established back in the 70s to the same extent as ours was. Our story could therefore take us further, or at least make it easier for global brand growth, which means greater resources over the long term and a better chance of staying at the top, like Arsenal and Spurs.
I dunno - I just feel brilliant about all this.

its decent not being the laughing stock at the pub anymore.
can actually talk about positives

Good points Jaz. We've been dumped on for so long we're all desperate for some good times, and it's great to see so much positivity around the club. I'm a cynical, cautious old scrote so ignore my wait and see attitude... you have to enjoy the good times when they present themselves in life.

What we should be happy about is the fact that AR is a "I'm old enough to say" a kid that has made his way and he's taken this club on, a well respected as far as others can see,(a change that was overdue!)and likable person, he's treating people the way he'd expect them to treat him,(that could change I know!)
The best part is how its being done behind the scenes, there seems to be a "lot" more professionalism in the way things are being done, and at the same time not to much being given out!..
A+ against things that have happened in our recent past years!..
The foundations now being put in place should set this club up for whatever comes and like said above we should be able to fight our corner when the time comes!..
Still a lot to be done but we're going the right train!..

The right "way"!.........

Gel similar to you milky, not trying to knock AR, the PR but is good the rest is doing ok so far, you will see a true measure of it when things aren't going so well. When players feel they should be in team, when tc feels he's not getting Orta support etc then you see the strength of what is really there.
I'm hoping it's genuinely strong the link between Orta and TC is key one for me, will be interesting to see at which point TC gets any extension to his 2 year contract.

Exactly jonty, and the true test of TC as a coach will be when the bad run comes, how he turns it around, how he adapts with plan b and c when teams shut down plan a.
We'll see how important a role these new signings play over a season, what saiz is like on a soggy pitch in February etc.
But hey, that's crystal ball stuff and all ahead of us, it's been a great start, as much as any of us could have asked... and there's no doubt that saiz and alioski can play.
