Gray gobbing off....

...a while ago I wrote an article debating whether Gray had been hard done by in relation to 'pitch-time' last season but needed to get his head down and force his way in.

But I am at the point of being absolutely sick to death of his 'interviews' with the media repeatedly going over his moaning - it's every bloody week now. Despite being quite irritated by his bleating and general attitude and the way he carries himself, I have tried really hard to reflect on his point of view.

But I am getting to the stage where I just want him to p1ss off now. Yes Mahrez goes missing, can be lazy and not track back, but his attitude has been significantly better than Gray's even taking into account the airport saga.

My problem is not that Gray is moaning, it's that he's not as good as he thinks he is.

He's not good enough to start. So shut up, and start moaning when you are.

Same with Chilwell. Learn to defend my son, and you will play. But right now you are a liability.

It annoys me when players who don't deserve a place moan at not having a place.

Send them on loan with a recall. Shut them up.

Can't say I've seen any articles wher e Chilwell has been moaning

I can understand players wanting to play and being frustrated at lack of game time. But if you don't take your chance and show your worth, what is the manager supposed to do?

"I want to play". Very nice, and I'm glad. But you have to prove you deserve it. We're a professional sport club, not a charity.

As for Gray, I'm growing increasingly keen on cashing in and looking elsewhere - simply because if & when he gets into the team and starts playing well, he's going to be all over the media demanding a move to a bigger club because he's now too good for us.

That’s actually a very good point DM. I can see this ending two ways:
1. Gray keeps fluffing his lines when he gets the opportunity, becomes increasingly frustrated by not playing and moans until he’s sold.
2. Gray gets an opportunity and takes it, plays well and becomes an important player for us, starts demanding a transfer to a “bigger club”, becomes increasingly frustrated and moans until he’s sold.
The club is in a difficult position at the moment because of the Mahrez situation and the fact that he’s also unsettled.
Unfortunately we probably need to replace Gray and Mahrez and the scouting team should be prioritising finding wide players/creative players in the next window.

Don't we have a ready made replacement in Musa Joby?

As far as lack of game time is concerned,it is a genuine problem for any player who doesnt start regularly, due to there not being a reserve team league. How do these players get regular competitive football. Its hard to improve skills in a match situatin without regular competitive fotball.

I know this applies to other players as well as Gray/Chillwell but they don't get the easy access to lazy english journos like Gray/ Chillwell do in International breaks. That of course assumes that these doyens of football knowledge repeat word for word what Gray/Chillwell said or would they edit the interviews to suit their articles. ( they wouldnt do that would they ?)

Oh look real footballs back tomorrow. Hallelujah.
