Alexis could cope with all the minutes but we'll need Kolasinec for Sun so he shouldn't really start. Having said that, with him and Monreal as our only LBs, it's literally one or the other and Monreal will definitely be playing on Sun too...

Le Coq is out and Wilshere will be on the bench at best.

I wouldn't rick Kolasinac,but otherwise I agree 100%

It seems wrong but I actually want us to lose. If we get beyond the group stage this competition will just become an unnecessary distraction to the league. Anyone else feel the same?

Totally agree, if we treat this seriously we will finish outside the top 4 and lose the FA cup ,both are more important .
We need to be back in CL and we need a third FA cup in a row!
A knackered squad who finaly went out in the semis of the second rate thursday cup will win nothing.

Couldn't disagree with that more, no offence.

Let's say we have a chance of winning the league- you may laugh at me for believing this but I believe that any of the top 6 have a good enough squad to win the league. No squad in the top 6 is clearly better than the others. All have their strengths and weaknesses and it will come down to who can find consistency.

So I do believe that this chance exists but if we're playing half the squad on Thursday every few weeks then forget it. We're bound to pick up injuries and having to use the same players on Thursday night and Sunday afternoon is not good at top level football. So I want us to go out asap so we can just have 1 game a week and focus on the league like Chelsea last season.
