Arsenal v Chelsea

Michael Oliver will be the man in the middle at Stamford Bridge - something that will not go down well. Arsenal have a shocking record under the Northumberland-born official - winning only four of the 19 Premier League games he has taken charge of over his time in the top division.

Most notably last season, Oliver oversaw both the 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace and Arsenal’s North London derby defeat at White Hart Lane.

Arsenal make the trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Sunday desperate to avenge their poor recent record against their London rivals but, they will need to defend against 12 men.

What are you implying exactly? The guy is a facking ref and is there to referee the game? Are you already coming out with excuses.

We're crap in a lot of games, don't think it has much to do with the ref apart from odd games (Stoke for example).

We need to just park the bus for the whole game and try and hit them on the break and make the most of set pieces.

Wrong manager won't happen I expect huge loss. We don't have midfielders especially creative or defensive aka why we didn't go for Matuindi sums up our clueless manager, it's Ramsey till he goes.

So many of our fans want to play like Maureen.

You say hit them hard on the break but that means the likes of Ramsey getting forward to support the attack and then you will complain that he is forward.

Or are you one of the fools on here who (assuming we stick with 3-4-3) want both full backs (defenders) to bomb forward and Ramsey (attacker) to stay back as well as Xhaka and the 3 CB's?

I stick by my belief that we need to driop Xhaka. His defensive weakness is too much so I would replace him with Elneny (as Coq is a doubt). The extra mobility and defensive strength is worth losing the passing and pseudo long ball game element of our play *which is proving very suiccessful anyway).

Shame it's not being played at Wembley.

Excuses in early

We need excuses like playing at Wembley, oh wait we can actually win there.

We need to drop Ozil before we drop Xhaka. I don't agree with Xhaka at DM but he IS willing to defend and hustle for the ball when we don't have it. Against better teams especially Ozil is a handicap. We need a MF in particular to be all feet on deck as such.

It used to be that the MF struggled due to no DM. Now we have DMs but struggle due to the MF always being one man short when it has to defend or ball win. As long as we insist on playing Ozil whilst allowing him to shirk defensive duties, we'll continue to struggle against any top team and for that matter any highly motivated small team. Or did nobody else notice we only started to bleed points against smaller teams once Ozil hit the team?

The number of dropped points his presence is responsible for is unreal. I've no doubt it's plenty more than the number of points we gained. I'm close to wishing him injury so Wenger is forced to drop him. He really wouldn't be missed and I think the fans might just find the resulting all hustling MF and better results as a more than welcome change.
