OZIL OUT!!!

Jeez, how many times do you people have to see him help our opponents by being a lazy feck, before you stop insisting he be played. Week in week out he is effectiively throwing games. Yet you lot keep insisting he play because he kicks a few pretty passes in between all the times he let's the opposition pass/doesn't chase back.

Do yourselves a favour, when you watch him play next. Instead of watching for the cute pwerty passes he can do WATCH FOR THE TACKLES AND OBSTRUCTIONS HE DOESN'T MAKE!! Maybe then you will start to see why, with current playing staff, he's a liability not a league winner.

A less talented passer who will run at the defence with the ball and defend/ball win without it, is currently a better and far stronger to the team, option than "Mesut mi foot so won't tackle" Ozil

We're getting our backsides pumped irrespective of the team we put out.

Ozil has the most chances created in the league this season.

Personally I would drop Xhaka due to his defensive weakness (I think he and Ozil have 2 tackles in the 4 games so far according to stats). Xhaka does not do enough good stuff to warrant the damage he causes to us defending. He is a train wreck. Watch him very closely every time the opponents get the ball if you dont believe me, you will understand why I dont like him very quickly even if you dont agree. I give him a rating of should have done better on 7 of the 8 goals we have conceded this season and the other one could have done better. Ozil is an attacking player and does as much defensive work as Xhaka. I can live with him playing.

P.S. I'd probably swap Sanchez in for Ozil and go for an early goal.

Gillespie

Petr Cech, Laurent Koscielny, Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Welbeck, Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey all sat out training this morning and will not be involved in the Europa game.

So I expect them all to start on Sunday.

Not the kind of news I'd be expecting ahead of our first Europa league game in 2 decades.

I'd rather start a strongish side against Cologne, and then take off my key players early. It would also make for a perfect opportunity for some of the fringe players to make a name for themselves as we work on our First XI.

You know the Germans will be well up for this. There's no point losing two games in one week.

I hope we lose. There's no point jeopardising our league season for this rubbish trophy when we'd probably lose in the semis or something anyway. Hope we get kicked out asap

Very very arrogant! you are aware Arsenal have beaten Chelsea in 3 of last 4 competitive meetings. So there is no reason why Arsenal can't get something from this game. Very poor attitude of some fans who think this is an easy 3 points for Chelsea!

Completely agree with you Gillespie. Risky from Wenger again.

Chelsea is a bigger game and the PL is a bigger priority. So it makes sense to drop those players.

Added to that, these games allow the younger players to gain invaluable experience to then make an impact in the PL; we all agree that as talented as Nelson or AM-N are, they aren't quite ready.

And also allows players like Debuchy and Wilshere to find their form... which, even from the most cynical perspective is good as it might mean an extra £1m or so when they leave (unless they leave on a free...).

It will only become a problem when the League and FA Cups start to congest our timetable. But that's the same for all the other teams in multiple competitions.

If Arsenal gets away from Chelsea with 3-0 loss they will be lucky. Apart from the fact that Chelsea is a superior team, playing a game yesterday didn't do Arsenal any favors either.
