Let me start by saying that I have nothing against Liverpool and actually think they are a great club
I listen to loads of radio phone shows and they seem to have nothing but Pool fans complaining about their transfer policy........It seems obvious to anybody with half a brain that Pool need defenders not middies or attackers , so why don't the powers that be at Pool realise this .....after all they bid 60 or 70m for VVD from Saints , when that failed they bought another middie hmmmmmm
If you need a builder you go by word of mouth and get a recomendation ..So why didn't Pool do that , Spurs had the best defence in the Prem last year and yet they spent nearly all of their transfer kitty on defenders , having seen the new lads play it all makes perfect sense to me
If I ran Pool I would have seen who Spurs were after and tried to Gazzump them
Liverpool

I actually think Klopp has done a great job when you consider how average that team is beyond the front 3
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Wijnaldum, Clyne and Matip are all far from average.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Take away Couts, the rest are average
Distinctly average
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Luckily your knowledge of football is about the same as your knowledge of brain surgery

I actually don't think the defence is Liverpool s problem.
Why can they keep clean sheets against better opposition? Think its more mindset than anything else. They need a defensive midfielder imo.

Yes, this is what's puzzling about it.
Last weekend aside (with 10 men) , we have quite a good defensive record against the top-half teams.

Pool needed a goalkeeper, 2 full backs, 2 central defenders, a replacement for Horrendo and a new manager.
Instead they spent 80m on two attacking midfielders (of which one is massively over rated), 10m on a championship left back and another 50m on the new Didier Zokora.
Very strange. It`s left them with a lop sided team with no plan B and an over rated manager.
The only good news for them is they gave Gifted Penalty an extended 10 year contract.
