The team/squad have played reasonably well so far, without the results to go with the performances.
But i can't wait until we have that settled midfield unit week in, week out.
Danny Drinkwater going to Chelsea has impacted on our midfield strength, no question.
Vincente Iborra & Adrien Silva must have a remit to get us on track (Silva transfer still on-going).
N'didi is decent, but naive at times, but that is due to age & inexperience.
Partnering him at present we have King and James. To be fair, that pairing, of your choice, will not get LCFC into a Europa League position.
What do fellow Foxes think we need to do, short term & long?
Can a midfield of King/James/N'didi do the biz? I'm sure it can't and never will. As long as these boys can keep games tight is the best we can hope for imo.
When our midfield is settled and our full-backs start challenging out of their comfort zone, then i think we will win more games than we lose.
Let's see.

I think Andy King does a job, it's just not the job we need doing unless he's coming on to fill the midfield when we're defending a lead.

The thing is with King is that he isn't that bad, but he isn't that good either. He's a model pro, seems like a decent bloke and has been with us all the way on the journey from League 1. I can understand why you'd keep him as a manager as he's a decent squad player who won't kick up a fuss.
It's just that we all know exactly what we're going to get from him or, more importantly, what we're not going to get from him. There are worse players at the club but, with some of them, the jury is still out on potential. With King you know there is no more to come.
I fear that a great servant for the club may become a whipping boy through no fault of his own. It's the club's failure to bring in better players that means we're still playing him and all he's doing is getting on with his job within the severe limits of his ability.

I knew we wouldn't create enough when I saw King was starting I actually cringed at the thought. He's a legend and our club but if we want to progress as a club he cannot be starting. Granted Shakey has been unlucky with the injury to Iborra and the Silva situation but I don't expect him to be playing once these guys are ready.

Joby & Your Honour................spot on comments.
Andy King has served Leicester City & Wales as well as he can and will.
Now he is back up..................or, at least, should be.
The only regret with Kingy is that he at that age where it should be his prime, but i feel he has already hit his peak some time ago.

TB my hero you are calling him isn't selecting the team.
Yesterday we where out muscled and out played in every department our first touch was criminal we did not have a single shot on target Vardy mist a sitter but Slims the one to blame for missing his one shot and even on Twitter people are saying that Marhez over hit the fuffing cross.
We are the team that Shakey and the players wanted now we need to intergrate the new signings by my so called hero and move on from the king days and the players picking the team

Sorry im late responding to this thread been away sampling Irelands wonderful Guiness so didnt see the highlighs till today.
Didnt this weeks aunt sally (kingy) win the penalty that got us the draw. I know he is not ideal but given the circumstances, james injured, iborra not fit enough for 90 mins ( think he will play tomorrow) and no peices f silva yet, who else could have played instead f kingy ?
and I agree we must get shingy back in.

My personal view is that it was the right call to start with King and he certainly wasn't the worst player on the pitch.
My bigger concern is the paucity of resources in the midfield area that means that King and Ndidi are our best options. One will never be a top PL player and the other is a promising youngster.

Joby
Yep totally agree
The worry is that we are relying on Iborra and ( maybe)
Silva to be the answer two quality players from la liga and portugal with no experience in english or premiership football ( rememver slimani was good in portugese football)
but lets look on the bright side yeah they will noth be brilliant , if ones fit and one ever gets here. Hopefully we will see Iborra later.
