Was Ozil Missed today?

He's a World Champion who's created more chances in the Top 5 leagues over the last 9 seasons than any other player by a country mile...

Of course we missed him.

But the team played well for the most part and a draw was the least we deserved.

I don't think iwobi did much today. Ozil would have done a lot more damage

Ozil would have done nothing apart from stroll around and play the occasional good forward ball.

It was against a good team so no I'd imagine he wasn't missed atall

Arsenal were actually really good without him. Their best performance away at a top 6 club since they schooled City at the Emptyhad.

This is a laughable hindsight view.

The so called experts come out with this hilarious nonsense because Arsenal suprised them with a proper defensive display. We have done that before for example in the FA Cup with these players. It's about the performance and attidute on the day.

I missed him.

Arsenal were looking for a decent solid defensive performance, and so it was natural we didn't miss our least defensively gifted player. Having said that, I'm not overly convinced Iwobi offered anything more than Ozil could have.

How can anyone "Miss" a player who would have cost their team the game? We wouldn't have kept a clean sheet with Ozil in the side as we never would have maintained defensive shape that well and the MF would have been everywhere. As it normally is when Ozil players.

I don't know why Ozil's supporters can't say/see he's a good player but he's wrong for this current Arsenal squad. Wenger needed to buy players to compliment him and he didn't. So that makes his style a liability in this team because his style plus current players = we concede more goals than he gets us.
