Winks..... Tonight

Looking at the dross that is currently Englands midfield, would love to see Winks get some decent minutes tonight. Would be a massive boost to not only his confidence going forward with Spurs, but England are crying out for a central midfielder who can get his head up and play good forward pass.

As much as I want to see England qualify, I'm basically only watching tonight to see if/how many Kane will score. Any team with Henderson, Sterling, Ox, Livermore & Lingard is truley depressing !

"but somehow Sterling came out of the tournament with the biggest criticism I saw."

"To be fair I think Kane got the worst of the lot, but that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things"

Edin sort yourself out

I repeat, I'm not saying he is on Modric's level or ever will be but he is that sort of player. He is a modric type player wether you like to believe it or not. Anyway "Dele ali average " .... can't really take what you say seriously mate when you come out with corkers like that
--------------------------------------

No. He's not a Modric type player. He's a Tom Caroll/Tom Cleverley/Leon Britton/Joe Allen type plodder.

You can keep up with the Dele Alli rubbish, when several of your own posters slate Alli for exactly what I slated him for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeh Dele Alli is really average, when he has been a guaranteed starter for two seasons in a team that has finished 2nd and 3rd in the Premiership, scoring plenty of goals as well. Honestly Sheriff do you really believe all the rubbish you post. I get you don`t like Spurs, I don`t like Arsenal, but I can give credit to an opposition player where it is due. Ali has been exceptional last two seasons, whether you like it or not.

Sterling is good but he does get overrated by people. Maybe this will be the season he can change mine and other people's minds about him. Needs to improve his finishing, his decision making and stay consistent for a long period. Until then he'll remain a player who i'll never be convinced will become world class. Oh and he's usually crap for England, not that that says much.

I think a lot of the 'overrated' comments come from people defending him from people who vastly underrate him

Sterling is underrated if anything, don't see or know many people who praise him.

If people haven't been praising him much it's probably based on a pretty average couple of seasons at City.

Early signs this season are good that this will be a change, but still it is early.

Sterling already giving it away I see lol Slovenia a spell of pressure because sterling had a mare. Slovenia probably should have had a pen maybe too

As pointed out before the game.... sterling nowhere close to international class.... as advertised ran down blind allies, gave the ball away, garbage final ball, zero goal threat & booed off ! As stated dier and Henderson do not both need to play on the same team against poor opposition. Why is southgate the only man on the planet that can see that that a back 3 suits our players best ! Watching to see if Kane would score was the only reason to tune in.... right, off to buy lottery tickets this stuff is too easy 😀

Sandy , to be fair sheriff wasn't calling Ali average now. I pulled him up on it because he called him average a few years back and eventually admitted how wrong he was. He means Winks when he is describing players like Tom Carrol as being similar.
