Spurs at long last secured a home Prem win. Still not at their absolute best, but that is down partly to the injuries which seem to be piling up, Davies missing today, so Verts having to switch, although he was my man of the match.
Deserved the win today, and the other results seem to have gone Spurs way. Liverpool and United did what they do best 0-0 draws when they play each other, Arsenal and Chelsea both with unexpected defeats, so a great day really.
Need to get some of these injured players back now, sooner rather than later, with the really tough four or five matches coming up. Son was poor today, and Sissoko looked lively when he came on. The bench though was very weak in reality with so many players out injured.
Nevertheless onwards now to Madrid on Tuesday night, and see where it takes Spurs, probably have to park the bus, and you never know.
Just back from Wembley, where

Thanks Sandy ole boy!
When someone parks the bus with a back 5, Lamela is exactly the kind of player we need.
And God alone knows wots going to happen in Madrid without Danny Rose, Wanyama and Dembele.
Can we rely on Llorente a bit more, do you think?
And why was Aurier not playing today?
Cheers

Sanchez started well, spraying passes about from the back. Looked more confident. Got beat a few times and looked really tentative after that. He'll come good

Spot on
He’s young and raw but he will get better

Think our players like Sanchez and Son might be suffering from jet lag, hence their performances today

I go to quite a few games when and if I can. I doubt you will be going when you are approaching 70. You seem like a very fair weather supporter.

Good win for Spurs, albeit it took two good months for a home win.

The Wembley jinx is a myth. Spurs last five matches there have resulted in three wins, two draws and no defeats.

yes however yesterday was spurs 1st premier league win at wembley after 4 attempts.
if spurs can win their remaining home matches in the premier league 1-0 (becos goals are hard to come by for spurs at wembley) then spurs will have every chance of being premier league champions.
