Can England win the last match of the Indian tour? India have been trying to command the incoming tide or two months now. Will it finally obey and retreat, leaving them with some consolation at the last?
Cardiff might help the spinners. Who is stronger there? Ashwin or Swann?
Both sides have suffered injuries, and rested players for this tournament. Raina and Bopara have grasped their chances. Rahane too.
With more rain due on Friday, can India adapt to changing match conditions.
Ultimately, do they give a toss? Are they not just wanting to get out of the UK, back to their home comforts and forget it all ever happened. Or will there be dead rubber bounce. Maybe England will feel they've done enough.
England do tend to go hard at dead rubbers. I've got a feeling they will win this one, and go the second half of summer without defeat. I'm not sure India want to go through it all again.
I fancy another DL derived win for England.

Glad the last one ended in a tie by the way. Otherwise it would have felt contrived.
Can India stir themselves for a consolation win? Must be difficult. Though some of the team still have careers and reputations to make.
Will we see Aaron and Badrinath?
Being perfectly honest, I don't think there has been anything between the two teams in the ODIs. Which is good for India, with the injuries, and inhospitable conditions. And good for England, because they are still playing against a strong ODI team.

Ashwin seems to have invented the doosra that doesn't appear thrown. Because he turns some the other way.

Yh we havent really seen a proper odi game.... because of various reosons from both sides... weather being the top of the list, and both side not playing their full strength.....
Badrinath has no chance in this match, unless dhoni decides to rest himself I dont see who badri can come for. Though would definately like to see aaron replace munaf

OK, great, thanks. Not been paying attention enough.
Shouldn't see a proper 50 over game on Friday, with rain forecast. it's quite wintery here in the UK now (if you're not in the UK), so it'll be very cold at night time.

It would be fantastic to finish off the Indians 8-0!

i agree that england are a better team right now, but the whole tour's been like a curse , i hope india will win today put a bit of smile on their skippers face , bigger players have come and gone but he is there with swollen fingers ,dodgy ankle and ever present composure . yes we lost and were out played but we were unlucky at times aswell especially during the odi's

I don't think that England are a better ODI team by any means, though they've always been able to win at home. Something like 4-1 will be likely in the return ODIs.
A few of the tourist's injuries came from bad planning, and just being battered by England's fast bowlers. Gambhir's injury was a freak, and unfortunate.
England aren't convincing in ODIs, though they can always win on a good day, and are likely to win at home. Having KP and Morgan would improve the team, but their absence just shows our lack of strength in depth.
Rain due at the start time tomorrow.

Bairstow and Buttler called up by England as cover for Stokes who has an injury. Samit could bat at six though.
