I really don't understand this dislike for Fabregas. He was the only player that could pick out a pass. Why focus on the negatives, when the positives outweigh the negatives? Bunch of weird and sad people on this board I must admit!

Agee bloody, but fab was poor yesterday. Him and Baka were missing. Every Watford attack was the same. Won the ball in the middle as our players weee nowhere near. Spread it out wide and got a cross in.

As for the OP I thought we were just as bad the last 20 minutes, we hardly had them under the cosh. Got lucky with a few good crosses

I don't have a dislike for Fabregas...he's capable of some stunning football....

trouble is he aint delivering....not justifying his starting place

would have been use if pedro was not incorrectly flagged offside, musonda scored, or his shot was an inch lower. Small margins

We have the personnel to play this formation.

I'm not sure about that. The CM's need a perfect balance to maintain it. Kante & Bakayoko are good enough, both tried and tested in two man midfields, but neither has the creativity on the ball to make it work as a combination with zero support - which the 4-2-4 offers to the CM's.

If we had a Verratti or Fabinho type player it probably would work very effectively in certain situations, it's a formation Conte knows very well and everywhere else we've got the personnel. Unfortunately at the moment it's pivotal load baring point is where we'd be weakest playing it.
