Apparently Ryan Giggs has registered an interest in the managers job.
Thoughts!!??!!
He may turn out to be a really good manager, but let’s not take the gamble.
He should be aiming a little lower to cut his teeth methinks.

To quote Sky Sports:
“Leicester were the champions two seasons ago. Everton (of whom Ryan Giggs is also interested in the managerial vacancy) are a fantastic club with a fantastic history. For me, these are clubs I would be interested in.
I’ve said all along that I’d be open to clubs that share the ambitions of myself. I want to improve clubs and improve players, to enjoy working for them and for players to enjoy the challenge.
There are clubs in the Premier League that would be good jobs but also in the Championship and League One. It’s more about the philosophy, for me, than the stature of the club”.

Manchester United 1991-2014
So there it is.

That’s what Everton said to Giggs so he looked at the Leicester job

I think it will be Puel while Everton will do the sensible thing and go for Dyche. Our owners will think a foreign manager is a guarantee of European football. They really are that stupid....
Took a massive risk with Ranieri which paid off in part due to the backroom set up and brilliant state the club was in. Not sure they will be so lucky this time

Puel to us.
Saints fans must be laughing their heads off.
Are the bookies taking the p
and Giggs or Scholes ?
So we sack our own assistant and would appoint another manager with no managerial expereience
Even Rudkin wouldnt be that stupid , would he ?

Not want Giggs at all.
Remember Ole Gunnar Solskaer.
Wanted to be a manager, was dreadful.
No thanks Ryan, find a small club and work up.

Ole has done well before and after Cardiff, who haven't fared any better after his sacking, though in the Norwegian league. Villa was the wrong job.
Giggs as a manager is unknown, but plenty of top players have been given top jobs based on their reputation or connections with a club.
I don't think Dyche is a good fit for either side. Would be a bit like Moyes moving to United. The team is in his mold a day I'm not sure he'll have the leeway or time to do that with either clubs.
Howe seems like an intelligent manager but he would also be a big risk. As with Dyche, he's been there for some years and he will not get enough time as he has got at Bournemouth.
Puel was quite bad at Southampton. Don't think he'd be right.
Coleman? Only has done well with Wales. Not much success at club level. But international and club management aren't remotely the same.
Pretty much everyone you're linked with is a big risk.
