As Paul Goodwin observes in the DFP this is a struggle between teams who do not defend well. Bury have done a bit worse than we have in this respect, but, like us, they have scored a few more goals than might be expected. They have lost 4 out of the last 5, so we have the edge on recent form if only our form were consistent.
So perhaps we might be slight favourites if Bury did not have slightly better home form. A 1-1 draw with Rowe the scorer (Marquis if absent) in front of 3500 is my guess, but I've more faith in the crowd forecast than in the match result!

SmallAzza must have some crystal ball - picking the scorer who did not even start! I was VERY optimistic for the crowd. At 3079 it was their smallest Saturday crowd this season even though 454 of our faithful went. Watching the game was very frustrating for a long time. The first half was very scrappy and neither team looked very good (although we were good for the first few minutes), and we were kept in it by a very good save by Lawlor. We started to play some good football in the second half, going close a few times but not really testing their 'keeper. I thought Williams for Baudry a strange substitution. I would have brought on Williams, but may be taken off Kongolo. As they were down to 10 Fergie must have thought it OK to take off a defender. I like Kongolo, but he gives the ball away too easily sometimes. I was really hoping Williams would do well, especially considering Marquis' current form. He certainly gets into the right position many times, but today his finishing was really poor - should have had at least two goals. Whiteman's finish was very cool and composed. I thought Houghton is finally looking more like last season. Anyway, a win is a win, and I'm very pleased for the team - and all of us! According to the Free Press web site Mandeville was not happy about being dropped and that is why Fergie did not even have him on the bench.

Thanks Micky. Seeing every game gives you a unique perspective. Williams playing alongside Marquis has never been quite the same as he was on his own or perhaps he has passed his peak.
I suppose we must be grateful to Whiteman for the goal which in the circumstances was the least we could expect against weak and numerically reduced opposition. Let’s hope wecan avoid the banana skins of North Kent next Saturday. I don’t know whether we should sympathise with Mandeville but perhaps we should trust DF’s management action.
The forecasts were generally too optimistic, but it was a win and Small Azza’s was perhaps the most perceptive in picking the substitute scorer.

Thanks, Donaldo.
I'm also I little nervous about Ebbsfleet - but I was about Weston-Super-Mare, and that turned out well.
Against 10-man Bury we did not create too many clear-cut chances, and that is worrying. It was just like watching Leicester vs. Everton this morning. In the second half, Everton much possession but no goals.
This was unusual in the USA that a Sunday game was "over the air", normally it is just the late game on Saturday.
By the way, many congratulations to Lewis Hamilton on his Championship. It is not the way he would have liked to take the title, but he well deserved it. I love Ferraris - if I could afford to own one, but Vettel is a little like Schumacher that he does not always live by the rules. Needless to say, I wish all the best for Schumacher to have a recovery from his skiing accident. What an irony!

As tonight's game is of academic interest only I see not point in holding a DPL.
