Why do these people think they run the roads?
I'm all for exercising and reducing the pollution in this world, however what I find irritating about them is that they think they rule the roads. Just now I saw one ram into an old person and blaming the old person for not watching where they're going when it was blatant the cyclist rammed the old man from behind.
Even on the roads, they take the risk of going onto the roads with cars so it should be on them to be careful to avoid collisions and nowadays if you're in an accident with a cyclist you will get the balme 99% of the time.

Don't stereotype. I love seeing people slagging off cyclists. My mate did it until I got in a car with him and he swore at 5 other cars on a 10 minute journey and only moaned about 1 cyclist
I cycle every day as driving In London is grin and the underground is inhuman
I am happy every day cycling but have to watch out for idiot drivers at least 4/5 times per day.
Then you get morons who are waking onto roads looking at their phones. I've hit a fair few of these fools and broken bones of a few of them
There are idiots everywhere yet cyclists get it more than anyone and the people that abuse them are usually poor drivers that think they can attack you for anything at all. I usually smash their cars in and that shuts them up. My favourite is kicking off wing mirrors of drivers on their phones. The look on their faces

Brilliant. Open this topic and get a 60% sale notice on the right for bikesdirect.com
Anyway. It's a bit different in Germany. If you're walking in a cycle lane and a bike hits you (which they will) then they can (and will) take you to court and you will lose. On the flip side, cyclists going through red lights, had a few beers whatever, if caught lose their driving licence and get a huge fine. So if a cylist doesn't have liability insurance then if they cause an accident, someone gets seriously hurt, and are found to be at fault, they're financially ruined.

"I told him very politely that he should be grateful I pay road tax so he can use the road for free"
Amazes me how many people believe this.

I know right. Also amazes me how many people have been paying a tax that hasn't existed for over half a century. The rebate is going to be huge.

Coutinho's Happy Feet (U18971)
When I drive along, I wind the window down to shout at pedestrians.
How dare they cross our roads without paying for them?
