most i imagine are because your dad was. but some would be because they first liked the colours or to rebel against their dads team - in the words of the song "my old man said be an albion fan ...... " i think you know the rest.
dad first took me to a game when i was 5 and as we lived in whitmore reans when i was 10 would let me go without him. he took me to the 1960 cup final though when i was 11.
when mom and dad got married they lived in lodgings in hordern road and in lodgings next door was billy wright. dad and billy became friends and remaned so as billy became famous. as a young child dad would often take me with him to billys house in bath road, usually on a friday night before a game.
when i was 16 we moved to quinton and dad was thrilled when we found that next door was dads favourite player from the 30s wolves team, reg hollingsworth.
the last game that me and dad went to together was the famous leeds double game in 1972. his health was poor in his last years and he died in 1987,
i love you dad
up the wolves
How come you're Wolves ?

a little story, halfy no doubt would say more name dropping. one time in the 80s i was at a dortmund home game. walking back to the city centre after the game a big black 7 series bmw screams to a stop and the diver jumps out , i thought it was the german mafia and my time had come, but no it was rolf russman, dortmund captain !
a german friend who worked at the westfallen stadion on match days had told him a wolves fan was there, rolf was a strong wolves fan and wanted to meet me !
we chatted and he arranged to come where me and my german friends drank on sunday dinnertime, which he did. from then on he regularly went to that pub to chat to my friends, some of whom were wolves fans and me when i was over there.

Everyone was raving about Helda Costa last season but King Kenny was scoring those goals in the snow on a muddy pitch with a ball that weighed about 2 kilos.
Waggy's goal was a scorcher as well by the way.
I wasn't going to many games in the early seventies due to racing at Hednesford Raceway so that was a gbrilliant stroll down Memory Lane.
Nice one Wolfgang

----------------------------------------------------------------------most players in Portugal, spain etc., have a buy out clause in their contract. I think it is part of the rules that there must be one. which is why you get these ridiculously inflated figures just in case some teenager turns out to be the next messi and another club can force the sale. nobody would ever consider paying that kind of fee...until PSG bought Neymar for the cost of a small country's national wealth.
IF we are genuinely interested in carvalho i'd expect it to be for £1m or £2m plus extra payments on certain conditions. kid has only played two senior games.
