Dele and winks in the middle, sonny and eriksen behind Kane, wing backs playing high up the pitch and three at the back.
The high press in the second half has been great, winning the ball back high up the pitch, creating plenty chances!!!
We’ve been on the front foot in the second half and it’s been great to watch !!!
It’s noticable how much more involved Dele is when he’s a bit deeper, able to run with the ball and create... he’s the perfect box to box midfielder !!!!
COYS !!!
This is our best line up

agree with the OP to an extent but when Wanyama is back he plays with Winks in the middle and Dele and Eriksen off Kane. Problem is we have Dier, Sanchez, Toby, Vert to fit in 3 positions.

Aurier is so powerful. I quite like Trippier, but he should never have been started at the Emirates in front of Aurier. Winks as well, surely has to now be in front of Dembele.

Aurier has stunk the place out in almost every PL game he has played tbf.

These are all great problems to have. I just love the way we play without a "defensive" midfielder. Winks shows great discipline for a player of his age & I thought Dele was great last night (esp[ 2nd half) because he was deeper he saw more of the ball & had a much bigger involvement. I love having Dier's flexibility & Victor's strength but having Sonny in the side improves our press, speeds things up & his pace allows us to play the ball longer and he's always a goal threat.
The obvious way to have played last night against a team who are overly attacking would have been with a classic DM. I just think we are better, play more to our strengths (Solid back 3/5) when we defend from the front and win possession in better areas. It stops that slow , ponderous build up that's plagued us in games this year when teams come to defend

Er no he hasn`t. He has had one really poor match against Palace.

Poch will have his cheque book out in January, but it will be for a striker, and not a midfielder. Llorente has to be one of Spurs worse ever signings, and will be ditched I reckon as soon as another striker comes in.

Very much doubt will be buying any players in jan tbh

I could only laugh when Llorente facked up that 1-on-1.

Spot On.... You have to wonder if Poch is still being handed players that he doesn't want. Its not like he's afraid to throw players in and give them a chance.... WInks, KWP, Dier, Dele, Kane, Foyth Etc. Yet there have been times this season when Kane should have been nowhere near the team..... Palace (after that tackle), Arsenal (you could see with 5 mins he wasn't ready) yet L'Lorente is nothing more than a last 5 mins sub who can defend corners. We had chased L'Lorente for years dating back to his time in Spain. Seems like a good guy/ team player, popular in dressing room but struggle to believe this is a player Poch wanted. As for the likes of N'Jie & KGN... words fail me... Poch doesnt play "wingers" who are defensively weak

still reckon we are lightweight in midfield, winks doing ok, but it looks near to the end for dembele and maybe wanyama out long term too, especially in the first half last night needed someone to control the game
