Wolves v Bolton match preview LIVE

Just three days after thrashing Leeds United at Molineux, Wolves return to ‘The Golden Palace’ to host Bolton Wanderers.

With their side sitting on top of the table and having won their last 4 games, some Wolves fans are beginning to expect 3 points from every game now and certainly, expectations will by high for this match.
The reality is that Wolves have now opened a 4 points gap from second placed Cardiff and perhaps more importantly have a 12 points cushion from 7th placed Derby.

Bolton sit at the other end of the table with only Sunderland below them and have only managed to scrape together 13 points from their 18 matches this season with only 6 of those points coming from match wins.
Having conceded 31 goals, only 3 teams have a worse defensive record and with a goal tally of 15, they also have the third worst attacking record in the Championship.

With more than half the season still ahead, most Bolton supporters seem to be resigned to achieving 21st place or better and are hopeful of seeing their team strengthened in January.
Bolton’s future however may lie to some extent in the hands of a manager other than Phil Parkinson. Sunderland have recently appointed Wales’ national team Head Coach, Chris Coleman who’s no nonsense approach may be just what is needed on Wearside. If his appointment has the desired effect, Bolton could well find themselves one of three clubs beginning with B, firmly ensconced in the relegation zone.

What can we expect? The crowds at the Macron Stadium have been dwindling as the season has gone on so it is unlikely that Bolton will sell their allocation of tickets for this game. However, more than 28,000 turned up at Molineux to watch Wolves outclass Leeds so this game is likely to be a sell-out.
Bolton are without a ‘proper’ left back so Phil Parkinson may opt to match Nuno’s set up and go with three at the back.
Nuno is unlikely to make many changes. He brought off his star midfielders at 80 minutes so expect Neves and Saiss to be starters. Cavaleiro is also a likely starter to be replaced in the second half by the almost-back-to-his-best Helda Costa.

Gem’s prediction: Wolves 3 Bolton 0

Gem can't you entice him out with hot beverage?

perhaps the snow we've been getting this morning has affected halfy. I hope he has a back up generator in case of power cuts because nothing should come in the way of the glorious matchday thread.

One fella from an island up north is clinging to the last fragments of Micks memory before they are shown for what they really were for a great great club, we won't be embarrassingly talking about 15th and 17th as glory years for much longer thank feck.

My USA geography isn't brilliant but I'm guessing this island is probably in the Hudson River?

Anyway, whoever he is, send him my regards and tell him, (without tempting fate hopefully), those glory years are about to return as the emulation of Mick continues.
