Back to Premier League action after a night of mixed emotions mid week which saw us throw away a 3 goal lead and 2 points to Sevilla. Tonight see’s the arrival of Chelsea and one of the big games that in previous seasons has been our strength but not in the big games this season.
Of last seasons top 4 we’ve already been beat by City and Spurs but they were away from home, defensively we’ve been a very good at home and hopefully that will continue tonight.

Daniel Sturridge and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are rumoured to be set to start for the Reds, with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane the two players reportedly replaced in Liverpool's starting line up.
Jurgen Klopp will have a decision to make over Alberto Moreno, who was brought off as the Reds collapsed in the second half of their Champions League clash with Sevilla. Joel Matip is available once again.
Former Liverpool loanee Victor Moses is available for Chelsea but Michy Batshuayi, Charly Musonda and Kenedy are out.

If he brought on mane at 70 mins and we conceded everyone would have called Klopp a reckless idiot
Because everyone 'knows' you're supposed to bring on an extra defender or solid midfielder to close out the match

Yes and he did. He brought off Sturridge and brought on Wijnaldum. That's a striker for a midfielder and by that point Liverpool weren't playing with an out and out striker up top. So he made that "change".
But he could have brought Mané on for Coutinho. A like for like in terms of the positions, but for the fresh legs and extra pace on the break to make Chelsea wary.

Anyway the point is, they fluked a goal
And there will always be some who will claim it wouldn't have happened if we did x, y, or z instead
And if we had done x, y, or z and conceded a fluke goal then those same people would have said we should have done a, b, or c.

Ox was on the left first half.
Him and Salah switched sides second half.
Then when Sturridge went off, Coutinho went wide left and Salah down the middle.
So you either only watched the last 20 mins, or you weren’t paying as much attention as think you were.
