An exciting game, neither on top, mistakes being made, fair result.
Liverpool 0 - 0 Portsmouth
MOTM - Fabinho
A tactical affair, with both defences really staying focussed on the job at hand, no dominate team over the 90 but both had chances, not many clear cut tho
Aston Villa 1 - 0 Arsenal
Griezmann(Marchisio, 83)
MOTM - Boateng
Tino determined to beat his old club, but they came to Villa Park as resolute as any team you will see this season, defended very well but eventually succumbed to the constant pressure

Leicester vs Chelsea
What a game to have first up on Match of the day, 2 title contenders going head-to-head at Filbert Street. This Chelsea side have won it all and they played well taking the sting out of Leicester’s play with a well drilled performance, Leicester played with a real swagger about them, really using their pace up-front to stretch this Chelsea back-line, Hazard pretty much murdering Sanchez.
The leicester midfield at times making Chelsea’s appear laboured especially with Kante doing the work of two men allowing Thiago and Asensio to really get the numericals in their favour.
Chelsea took the lead through a rapid counter-attack with Neymar breaking out of defence and setting Aguero through on goal. The result of which was to sting Leicester to life and a quick fire salvo from Hazard and Ronaldo put them in front and they held on well to see the game out.
Leicester 2-1 Chelsea
Ronaldo (Hazard) Hazard (Thiago)
Aguero ( Neymar)
MOTM – Kante

Stoke vs Brighton
A nice bit of filler on MOTD, 2 sides needing good wins setting up very evenly in the 4-3-3 led to a very congested midfield stifling the game for long spells with very few clear cut chances, at times Rashford cast a forlorn character isolated up-top on his own, ultimately this game was won thanks to an inspirational bit of skill by Payet shimmying past 3 defenders only to see his shot smack back off the inside of the post, but as so often in his career Falcao was in the right place at the right time to stab it home.
Stoke 0-1 BHA
Falcao (Payet)
MOTM – Payet

Wolves vs Spurs
Marky Mark showing some nice tactical nous by switching his formation to a 3-4-2-1 really countered Spurs’ 4-3-3 wonderfully. Wolves ended up bossing the midfield not only through numbers but also some fantastic ball players in there that just moves Spurs’ muscle approach to midfield about nicely. Kompany and VDV marshalled Auba nicely but this Wolves attack with the twin AM’s proved top heavy and eventually they broke through…the first goal opened up the game and the pace of Sane against Trippier was a constant threat down that flank. Morata got a lovely equiliser down that route, but a late bullet header from Pepe was enough to seal the points for the boys from the black country.
Wolves 2-1 Spurs
Auba (Silva) Pepe (Silva)
Morata (Sane)
Motm – Jorginho
