Dele has been very poor lately. In fact today was his poorest game amongst many in my opinion.
If Lamela is fit I would play him instead if only for an hour.
Dele needs a kick up the backside.
Time to drop Dele

Hasn't been dropped has he?

On the Deli Alli thing, some questions:
1. Is he a good player or not a good player?
Some of you seem to be saying he's no good anymore and to trade him?
2. Why do you think he's not playing well?
Losing the ball? Running backwards? Missing passes? Slowed down? not combining well?
Nobody says why they think he's not playing well. They just say "oh he's not playing well".
Perhaps the other side is double teaming him?
Last match it was "Eriksen is bad, bench him".
Nowt about Eriksen this match!
If you criticize a player you have to say why in specifics. Just like his manager will have to!

No but the thread is time to drop Alli. What if he doesn't regain his form?

He's 21 years old. His form was always going to suffer, as I mentioned earlier, he's played over 200 games already. Possibly suffering a bit of burn out at this stage. I could understand the points if he was 31.

Spurs have just won 5-1, probably their best home performance of the season, and some of our supporters want players dropped. I give up.

He's been linked away for some while now Sandy and he isn't as effective as he was so why not cash in? Today we beat our perennial patsies by 4 goals so we still need another win to really set us going.

So you are advocating selling one of our best players, just because he is not on top form. Assume when Kane has a bit of a dry spell, you think we should sell him as well, what about Eriksen, may as well sell him if he goes off the boil, and while we are at it how about selling Toby, he is not fit, so may as well get rid.
Honestly mate do you think young players as good as Ali come along every week of the year. The fella has barely turned 20, has a slight dip of form, and you want to flog him because he has had a few weeks of not playing as well as last season. He is contributing, perhaps not as much as usual, but still top notch.

He was crap in the first half but got back into the game well. If the team build on this game, Alli will improve too

Wouldn't want him to be sold but realistically I don't think he'll think too hard if a massive club comes in for him. Unlike Kane for example who I'd like to think will give us the benefit of the doubt for another couple of years.
I would say he should be dropped, or rested as he's not been on great form. The only trouble is, it's not very effective unless you have legitimate competition for his position. Lamela's not at full fitness yet (but looking good) and i doubt Sissoko's presence in the squad will intimidate any of our first team.

He still came up with an assist yesterday

This is a difficult one because I don't think he is playing well, however, I think Poch believes he needs to play him for him to play himself into form.
