I would comment on True Blues article but he's had me filtered for over a year
Does anyone but him (the Robb of our board) really think we should carry on in a 4-4-2 trying to emulate the title winning season? Doesn't he get it yet!? It's been figured out more times than a Rubik's cube.
Is he really trying to split hairs between having 53% possession and losing to Palace and 47% possession and beating Southampton - like that's the answer!
How many goals from open play were we scoring under Shakespeare? Not that many this season. As maguire said we struggled to create chances under him - it was mostly from set plays and winning the odd penalty
To be fair it's all about opinions, even stupid ones, so if anyone wants to make the argument that we need to go back to hoofing it to Vardy then go for it...
Comment if the day from Nev -
'True Blue you're as predictable as a Shakespeare starting 11 and just as easy to beat'
The possession argument

We’re not defending from the front BS. I think that our front 4 need to work better in games like yesterday in attack and defence.
Agree with Puel - we looked slow and laboured. I’m hoping Silva may help that situation as we’re lacling a playing who can open up teams with their passing. Gray, Mahrez and to some extent Albrighton are all runners with the ball.

Bad day at the office yesterday - nothing more. We were poor all over the park. Don't know why, but we were. In contrast Palace were very impressive and thoroughly deserved the win.
Yesterday does not take away from our recent performances, it's just a reminder that we are a long way from the consistent finished article.
Really pleased how Puel is developing the team and the tactics. I like the higher possession game whilst also allowing the team freedom to attack at pace when the opportunity arises. We seem to have more than one way of playing.
The BIG challenge for Claude is how to solve the defensive frailties. I like both Morgan and Maguire as individual defenders but they cannot seem to organise themselves into a sold partnership. Our defending at corners and crosses is very poor. Solve that and suddenly we look harder to beat and don't have to score three to win games.

I like that we have flexibility in our approach, but we don't yet have a team that can dominate possession in a consistently successful way. Palace came to park the bus yesterday and hit us on the counter and did that very well.
With a different team selection we would have been much tighter defensively and may have got something out of the game.
It will be interesting to see if Silva can make a difference, also if we have any acquisitions in January to improve the squad.

Okazaki should have started or brought on at half time.
Don't wish to criticise ,but can anyone defend his substitutions?

I can Ozi was knackered and would not of made any difference and Puel said he was going to bring him on then Ndiddiely birthday boy got sent off. We where not going get back into the game and he threw the kitchen sink at them in the last ten minutes.
As for the front four not defending i disagree the issue with the first goal three defenders two attakers Morgan handed him on to Simpson he who did not pick him up.
Second goal please explain how the front four did not stop twinkle toes getting through the middle of our defence?
The main issue with the defence is well i have said it enough although he did come off his line yesterday but was very quite not giving the defence its usual ear bending.
BS as for TB he doesn't even believe what he is saying he is on the wind up with snide comments all the time.
The fact we have left the old lags era behind and moving forward is doing his head in imo.

I think of TB as still having to log on to his windows 95 computer that connects to the internet via dial up because he hasn't got a smartphone yet

Don't think there can be any doubting that we have improved significantly since Puel took over. Yesterday was a bad day at the office, with bad individual performances. But the way Puel has got us playing is definitely the way we need to go, and a far cry from the boring, stale football we were playing under Shakespeare.
Our defence has been terrible since the start of last season. I agree with the comments about Morgan and Maguire - they are both decent defenders but I'm not sure they can play together. Personally, I'd like to see Maguire playing to the right of Huth who I think is a better natural defender and communicator than Wes and I think would get the best out of Maguire, but I fear we'll never see him in the first team again. Simpson has had a good season but I'm not convinced that he's the attacking full back that Puel wants. Chilwell has done OK but his positioning still needs working on. I do wonder if he's better in an attacking position for the time being until his defending improves, but that means either benching him or dropping Albrighton for Fuchs.
The three big outstanding questions that will need addressing before long:
How do we fit Silva into the side?
Can we find a successful way to play without Okazaki, when he remains (arguably) our most important player?
How do we get the best out of Vardy with our new style of play?
