An apparently well controlled goal on his Stoke debut after a cross from the right.
Apparently that's what happens when he's allowed to stay in the middle and someone crosses the ball to him instead of having a manager who makes him chase long balls all day.
I hope he gets a few more this season and shows a few people on here what an adverse effect McSpanner had on his game.

There's a lot of irony in this article. He had to become a Stoke player, to finally recieve a kind word spoken about him!

One swallow doth not a summer make!
Good luck to the lad all the same,I certainly bear him no grudges!

Well done last night Cameron for scoring lets hope stoke dont have to wait 23 games till your next one!
IMO in King on last nights evidence we have a much better centre forward. If he had been with us last season we would still be in the PL under any manager.
As said before the blame goes to Mcleish for picking CJ not for his tactics.

for gods sake!!!
5 years - nothing
stoke - he'll show us!!
dear me - king showed in 45 mins last night clever movement - speed and good passing - a goal!!! - won headers - control -
if u want a buy back on jerome why??? king proved last night he was and always will be a better player - but not maybe a decent person - but for football a yes!!

Maybe the boo boys will learn something here. They berated Jerome as useless, despite a few of us trying to show them the light, they will have to eat their words before long. We can do without that sort of support.

Because I like him. I think he will score goals in a central attacking role with proper support and
someone to play off.
I'm not saying he's any better than what we've got but without the hindrance of AM and his weird tactics he certainly would have been better under CH.

Why cant anyone see that Jerome's (and any other striker playing under him) biggest problem was Eck!
Seriously, did the year before not happen or something?? When Jerome scored 11 goals?? Eck tried not to play him along side Chucho whenever he could get away with it (FA cup qtr final), but we could never score when Jerome never had a decent foil, so had to play them together...... However, Eck got rid of that little partnership because he dont like his team scoring goals (I cant think of any other reason to get rid of the best player we have seen down Stans for a few years?).
So stop blaming Jerome for not scoring last year, there aren't many players who could score when they find themselves being the only player in the opposition half for 90% of the game!
