Looking at this forum since the weekend has really got to me. The over reaction has been staggering. We lost to a great team, yes we could have done more but some of the comments on here are so ott. Of course poch makes mistakes, but he does more good for this team than bad. When he took over we were a mess, anyone saying we were not is a fool. Sherwood had us in a right state, he had a bad dressing room, not great players and not a lot of money to change things.
The spending of the teams around us over the last 3-4 years has gone crazy, with what we pay (wages) and what we spend (transfers) poch has done a superb job. This is a bad run, it happens, we havent had many over the last 3 years, we will come out of it. By all means ask questions and dare to dream but some of the comments on here have been so over the top.
Now on to Dele, ffs support him. He IS 21! 21 FFS! He has had nothing but success for us so far, the first sign of adversary and we turn against him! Great fans.
Not happy

Levy has made many comments about spending gone out of control. As a result he has adopted a last-minute-buying strategy. This means he tends to get the crumbs. But even the crumbs are expensive - Sanchez was a club record buy. And Aurier, the last minute replacement for Walker, came complete with police record.
And Llorente is well past his prime.
So now our manager leaves Aurier on the bench rather than risk another red. So Trippier has to try and race with Sane - no contest.
Some posters on here think Pochettino is to blame for our losses of late because of his team choices. True he has had to deal with injuries to Alderweireld and Wanyama, and Sanchez being banned. But
I happen to think his choices are dictated by what Levy has given him to work with.
So I blame the bad result on Saturday on Levy, not Pochettino. 4 - 1 was way too much.
Now then, its a busy time of season, what happens next?
Will we win nothing this season and start losing players like Kane, as some predict?
Or will we pick ourselves up and win something, maybe the FA cup?

Our form has been average at best this season and poor in the last 6 weeks or so. No getting away from that. People can point to injuries but everyone suffers from that, it was up to us to sufficiently strengthen the squad in the summer and again we didn’t do that. Signed Llorente at the last minute as some sort of ‘it’s getting late, you’ll do’ type of signing. A player who really doesn’t fit our style of play, and then this ridiculous idea to sit around and wait for Barkley instead of actually having and pursuing other targets.
As for Saturday, It’s never nice to lose 4-1, some silly mistakes in there, but ultimately the reality is that they’re a better team than us and they’re at the top of their game. We lost to the better team. The ones that rankle are the losses to Chelsea, United and Arsenal which were just poor results and poor performances. Really 5hitty games to lose, particularly in the manner we lost them.
Everyone points to money as the easy get-out when it comes to recruitment when the fact of the matter is we’re one of the richest 15 clubs in the world and the fact that with a proper scouting network we could find the quality young talent before they’re unattainable. No more of these blatant duds like N’jie, Janssen and N’koudou.

levy is in no way to blame anything. The shape he has our club in is to be applauded.

Whilst true much of his work is to be applauded. His strategy to transfers over the years has been sporadic at best. I think it’s the timing of transfers that annoys fans more than anything. And fellow EPL chairmen alike.

The timing is counter-productive. Even at playground level it’s evident that knowing how your teammates play makes it easier to play, yet we buy players late and throw them in sporadically. No wonder most of them take ages to find their feet and their form.

Levy isn't perfect and neither is Poch. They will make mistakes from time to time. Just because he's helped head us in the right direction in the past few years doesn't mean there aren't areas he can't improve on, like the transfer window for one.

And spending a little more of Lewis' money!
