Stewards: Schumi should've been penalised

One of the stewards at Monza Derek Daily had this to say : "'Schumi should have had penalty for blocking in Monza - we blew it "
Daly has also revealed that he missed the Schumacher-Hamilton incident as he was busy dealing with a different case at the time.

"On lap 20, race director Charlie Whiting asked the stewards to look at an incident between [Felipe] Massa and [Jarno] Trulli at the second chicane," he is quoted as saying by Crash.net. "While looking at the slo-mo video of this incident, I missed the Schumacher-Hamilton incident that happened at that moment.

"When I looked at it again at home, I believe that Schumacher should have been given a drive-through penalty. He was warned repeatedly, and this style of driving is not what you want the future generation of drivers to perfect. We as stewards probably let Charlie down with this one."

STEWARDS ARE PLAIN PATHETIC, this is a clear case of prejudice against Hamilton. This is like claiming stupidity in court, as a mitigating factor, absolutely nausiating!

A has been that has passed its sell-by date, comes back in to formula1 and doesnt look like having the faintest hope of winning a single race, makes himself an utter nuisance and we are should hail him as a great! Hell no!

Finishing ahead of your competitors in the fastest time possible, without favour or bias from anybody will earn you your place among the greats!

i sort of half agree with your assessment on schumi

he had numerous advantages, notably bridgestone developing their tyre soley, not just for ferrari, but to schumi's own liking and we all know how important tyres are

then you have the absense of prost, senna and mansell,2 test drivers in the all conquering williams, rory byne, ross brawn, lacky team mates, fia etc etc

on the other hand,he wasn't 2nd rate,he was a geniune great, best of his generation, the fuel stop era really suited his driving, definantely a great, but not in the senna, prost bracket

for whatever reason you are opening up a whole new can of worms with schumacher ,
however on this occasion i have to agree with you , micheal indeed did have alot of manufactured advantages connected with his 7 WDCs ,
but for those manufactured advantages and the very weak driver era he drove in ( mika hakk aside ) he probally would have struggled to win 1 WDC let alone 7 --

what has all that got to do with the fact he legitamately ( spell checker does not work ) held up your boy on sunday --

there is also an art to holding up a much quicker car as much as there in making a passing maneuver stick -
---- lets try and see both sides of the coin bud -

good evening rats , i was trying to work out who you were from the old bbc 606 ,( you must have guessed i was xiggly on there )

must admit i was not popular with two of the hamilton infatuation club on there very often my honest opinions on lewis would enrage them to hurl there personal insults at me then of course having the sheep mentality a couple more would then join in with them , then of course it would very often turn a bit silly ,
even offered to meet one of them at silverstone this year for a nice little " chat "

hopefully we will not have that kind of sillyness on here , i intend to write a few more topics than i did on the old 606 in the hope of keeping the new forum interesting and hopefully attracting a few new members ,
but it is not easy trying to think of topics with real substance that people will want to respond too ,

i have got one brewing on the achilles heel"s and similarities of button and brundle as racing drivers that i will publish eventually -
must admit it is the easy format of this forum that attracted me to this board when the old bbc 606 went belly up -

good evening xiggly

yeah,it's difficult to span the generations, for us we have abit more of a candid view on the drivers of today, when we remember what was considered to be "the golden era of formula 1"

look forward to your article on brundle and button,i don't know about you,but brundle seems to talk with a small chip on his shoulder, probably from his british formula 3 days when he kept ayrton honest,he must look back at rue not winning a grand prix, whereas coulthard seems to be the opposite, very honest, easy to say i suppose considering his success in relation to his talents

it's a shame the beeb sold out to sky,the coverage is the best it's ever been, imagine being able to watch free practice back in the 80's and 90's,having 2 ex drivers is just brilliant,a real insight

i have my own opinions on why brundle never won a GP and it was nothing to do with a lack of talent , not in race trim anyway ,

i did read somewhere that he had a BHP advantage over senna in the 2nd half of his 83 F3 season which would explain his fightback that year ,

suppose you could compare brundle with alesi , both massive talents but spent there whole F1 careers in the wrong place at the wrong time -

i think brundle moved around alot as far as his formula 1 career was concerned, going tin top racing probably didn't help

but, yeah, who knows,if he had got the drive at williams in'93 his f1 stats would look a whole lot different, then had the misfortune to bump into schumacher and hakkinen

Brundle is a whaffler, he is all talk and no game. I know the likes of him, they like to inundate us with their sugar coated whaffle which at the end can only be bought by those of Martial Artist's ilk!
