I do think it is likely to some extent in that I can't see them carrying on this form throughout the season. That said, even if they do struggle for a period, I don't see us or any other team catching them. But this talk of winning 4 trophies is very premature.

But good luck to them. 😂

But they have a huge task to win the CL

Be interesting to see how they do against Barca, Bayern or PSG

I don't think that you are the finished article at the back either. The problem is, your midfield and attack is so strong that the defence doesn't get tested enough (from an opposition's point if view).

I would be interested see what happens if you loose a few of the midfield/forward players and with the cohesion remains. If not then we might see the defence getting exposed a bit more.

The difference with how we play is that it’s all linked - a lot of the issues last year that were put down to the defence, the mistake was actually in the midfield and attack as we defend the ball rather than the goal.

That attack line, given that Jesus is playing equally as much as Aguero, has no one older than 23 in it, there are mistakes made and progression still to happen.

We need another defender though as Kompany is done, we only have two really. I do think we may go after a left back as well in January as as good as Delph has been in terms of creating an overload in midfield, we do need the alternative that Mendy was going to bring.
