Thought he had a decent game tonight, but can't help thinking he has his mind on a move away ! Would love hime him to come out and say he'd love to stay, but I honestly think he will agitate a move in Jan.

smid you seem to be the bitter minority here
at least 3 cynical fouls on ki in very promising positions, even sammy had a decent 2nd half
you bears seem to be happier than we are sad

Different perspectives then smid. Not saying we were great but it was an improved European performance.

Not at all tonights result either way doesnt make me happy or sad anymore than any other result tonight. Rangers arent involved so I have no feeling either way, I just cant see any rationale for Celtic being unlucky or the result being any different than it was. You were up against a better side who dominated and created most of the chances, theres no shame in it but I dont think it was a particularly good performance from Celtic. Just my opinion though.

quebec ....I've seen your posts b4 .....I didn't for a second think we would win, just want our players to perform at their best , is that wrong of me ? Yes, I have high standards.... I pay more for my season ticket than I did 8 years ago.... I followed us all the way to Seville, so why should I not want the best ?
I know we are not that same team but I just want the stupid mistakes cut out ... I want us to be able to compete...maybe I'm being foolish, but I can't help but hope !
Oh.....and you GTF

considering a 3rd minute goal concede in a stadium where barca and real struggled last season I would say that was a decent performance.......but hey, the tax dodgers would have done better

Davie, don't take it so hard.
When you're a big boy you'll find you don't always get what you want.
But if you try sometimes you get what you need.
We need to win on Sunday.

Not really about how Rangers would have done, whether we would have lost 3-0 or 1-0 has no impact upon your result tonight. Im not disputing that Atletico were obviously favourites, but bear in mind they finished 7th last season and have since sold probably their 3 best players and are only 2 games into their season and its not like you were up against the harlem globetrotters. I just would have liked to have seen Celtic play a bit further up the park and put them under a bit more pressure at the back, as they werent tested much. Its only my opinion though, doesnt make me right.

Its just like a rule for Celtic away in Europe = concede an early goal.
No matter what manager, team, formation, tactics we have its just in our blood to concede early, I was really hoping we could shut them out til half time, then as the game wore on grow in confidence and attack more, thats what the half decent European sides do against the bigger sides and get a result, we cant.
We play a negative formation with 4-5-1 to try and soak up pressure, surrender possesion. But theres only one big problem with that, you need a solid defence. Sadly we dont have that and havent had for years.
Im just glad we didnt get tanked tonight and I've forgot about it already and Im looking foward to Sunday, defeat would be disastorous for Celtic but Im confident we can go and get 3 points.

smidger is disappointed that Celtic didn't go on all out attack and get totally pumped, he was hoping for 4 or 5.
