What to do with Sanchez

Statement from Wenger after the Palace game:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42410931

I'm sure it's big talk to put on a hard front and drive Sanchez's price up, but if not, he should be worried. The options are that we either let Sanchez go for a respectable bid in January (I'd hope for around £15m) or we force him to stay to the end of the season, which probably reduces his productivity as his mentality goes bad. He won't have to worry about justifying a price tag as he'll go for free in the summer and will be a ridiculous steal. The only positive will be that he can't be used against us by a domestic rival in the meantime.

The most sensible thing in my opinion would be to keep Sanchez until late in the window, thereby getting some more goals out of him as he tries to push his value up, but getting rid of him while we can still get money. Selling him too quickly smacks of desperation and could result in us taking a poor offer, but keeping him beyond January would be stubborn. Otherwise someone will just wait until the summer like we did with Chamakh.

The saga needs to end - it's just how. I hope Wenger's not stubborn enough to try and force Sanchez to stay to the end, as we'll just be stuck paying the high wages of a disinterested, wantaway player for whom we could have gotten a respectable fee. I don't think we've seen the last goals from Sanchez but I don't think we're far off.

Ozil will eventually stay.I just think he is waiting to see what is on offer but when no Real big club comes in he will stay at Arsenal.

Sanchez will go in the summer. We are NOT going to sell him without a replacement. This is so obvious I often wonder why opposition fans like to debate the most obvious thing unless if they are all senile.

Jack will also stay.

Look the Sanchez situation is a mess but all clubs except City and United will lose some of their best players at some point. Costa forced his way out of Chelsea and Hazard is not far behind, Liverpool will lose Coutinho, Spurs will lose at least one of their top players every season.

Its not the end of the world. If we seriously improve on recruitment and hire a good manager I wouldnt be shocked if we are competing for a title in 2 seasons while the likes of Spurs and Liverpool do more of the same.

Have you guys seen the video of sanchez being the only player pressing liverpool in the first half at the emirates.....urging his team mates to join in but they all just refused and let liverpool.dominate the first half.

Sad to see, he's a level above the rest at Arsenal. He has a point and a right to be conplaining. Nobody at that clib has matched his effort and output over the last few years.

Ozil not playing today due to a mysterious injury that came out of thin air before the transfer window opens should suggest he is leaving in January.

It is not mysterious. It is a knee injury.
Quite a lot of players missing games at this time of year - January will be busy!!

If i was Arsenal supporter - i would clap Alexis Sanchez off because he is an amazingly special player.

Wonderful what he has given to Arsenal over the last 2-3 seasons.

Left a massive club (Barcelona) for a small club like Arsenal shows the ambition and challenges he has set for himself.

He has given everyhting for Arsenal only to be let down by some of those arsenal players and manager and some supporters who have turned their back on him recently because he does want to sign a new contract. Even then, Alexis Sanchez has been admirable in representing Arsenal FC to the best of his ability winning games single-handledly.

Also the board who have not invested wisely and the promises which were lies because Arsenal have been goin ackwards in terms of ambitions and competing for BIG honours like the Premier League title and Champions League.

I gave Arsenal the benefit of the doubt in the past with the departures of RVP, Nasri, Fabregas, Gallas etc
But now i know why they left.

There is something mysteriously poison about arsenal behind the scenes, in the dressing room and board room.

No ambition and no direction except backwards and sideways. This is the reality of arsenal fc.

He really isn't an "amazingly special player". He is a very good player, but one with a lot of faults.
