Head-to-head

Burnley's 2-0 win in this fixture last season is their only Premier League victory and clean sheet over Liverpool in seven attempts.
Liverpool have lost just three times to Burnley in 18 meetings in all competitions, keeping 12 clean sheets (W12, D3).

Burnley
They could go five league games without a win for the first time since a seven-match streak between February and April 2017.
The Clarets conceded three goals in their last home match against Spurs - as many as in their previous nine league fixtures at Turf Moor this season.
Only three sides have scored fewer than Burnley's 18 goals in the division this season.
There have been 35 goals scored in the 21 league fixtures involving Burnley this season, the lowest tally of any club.
Burnley are unbeaten in their last four league games played on New Year's Day, winning three of them and scoring 12 goals in total.

Liverpool
The Reds have gone 15 games without defeat in all competitions, their joint-longest unbeaten run under Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool have scored 27 league goals in 10 away games, their highest tally at this stage of a season.
They have equalled the top-flight record of scoring at least three goals in five consecutive away matches.
However, the Reds have only won four of their 18 league and cup matches in January under Klopp, with two of those coming against League Two opposition Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup (D7, L7).
Their only league victory in the past seven away games played on New Year's Day came against Ipswich in 1994 (D3, L3).
Mohamed Salah has scored 17 goals and set up another five in 21 Premier League appearances for Liverpool.

Klopp squad rotation..i said at the time (well done Got<applause.)..ahem, that it will be in the coming games that we will see the benefits of the rotation.

The everton result was 1 game, we had another 5 plus to think about, its proved that klopp is correct!

Thought that match may have been a watershed moment at the time, pleased we’ve kicked on so well after that.

A good gk comes for the cross and catches or punches the ball. I feel always we need to score 4 goals to be save in games.

Everton game will tell more. If he's not in the squad for that then it's time to worry, but not until then.

I don't believe he's injured for a second, he was fine walking off on Saturday and hasn't trained since.

This has all the hallmarks of the "bad back" again if he misses the neverton game.

Huge win that.

Thought Gomez back post sloppiness had cost us again but well done to Ox, Lovren and Klavan for nicking the win.

Great desire shown by the lads.

Great to see Mane back with a superb goal too.

Was always going to be a tough game. To get six points from Burnley and Leicester is huge for us as they are two good teams who take points off the other teams.

Our record outside of the top 6 this season is excellent, and we will definitely finish top 4 if we keep it up for the remainder of the season.

That’s 38pts from 48 available against the bottom 14.

Another 33 up for grabs and if we can get 25 we will be well on our way.

*36 up for grabs rather and 28 will do nicely.
