My mate Howard a good servant to the club and fans even when they where deriding him a did not get what he did.
The problem he is now past his sell by date and a move to a lower league club would do him good but i imagine hes on a good wack at city so he would be reluctant to move.

I was amazed when they gave him that last contract extention. Sven obviously doesn't rate him and he never seems to get anywhere near the match day squad not even for the league cup ties!

I believe he could do a great job coming off the bench if we were looking a bit stale and not winning.
He has a presence which defenders hate.

Agree with Hairyfox, he's still as useful as he was when we signed him IMO, such is his style of play. He doesn't have pace and was never a good finisher but he still has strength and even against Madrid he caused problems with a route one style.
Since we have very little to bring off the bench up front and we don't have a target man, I don't know why he isn't on the bench every week. He was never good enough for the first team in a promotion chasing team in this league but he's certainly another option and one which would be useful if we are going to coninue with a long ball game and are struggling to string 3 passes together a la Barnsley, Bristol, Reading.

He still has something to offer, doesn't he chaps? My mind goes back to Ian Marshall in Madrid, who was giving them no end of problems until he was stamped on, which was shamefully missed by the ref.

Absolutely agree - still has something to offer.
Would be on the bench every game for me. Bring on against a tiring defence - knows where the goals is.
