🔥Wolves v Bee's🔥[LIVE]

Wow, what a festive season of fixtures we've seen from Halfy and Wolves. Let's hope that Wolves don't let us down tonight

Wolves defender Danny Batth is suspended after being sent off in Saturday's 2-1 win at Bristol City.

Ryan Bennett came off the bench to score the winning goal and is likely to play, while Ivan Cavaleiro may start after a lively cameo at Ashton Gate.

Brentford are awaiting international clearance for new Danish signing Emiliano Marcondes.

Defender Henrik Dalsgaard (ankle) is a doubt, but Alan Judge is in contention after recovering from a broken leg.

Bees striker Lasse Vibe will be looking to continue the form that has seen him score six goals in his last five games.

Wolves' appeal against Batth's red card at Bristol City was rejected, so he will miss league games against Brentford and Barnsley, as well as the FA Cup third-round tie against Swansea on Saturday.

Match facts

Wolves have not won consecutive home league matches against Brentford since January 1939.
The Bees are winless in three league games against Wolves (D1 L2).
Wolves have won 12 of their last 15 home matches in all competitions (D2 L1), the same number they managed in the 35 matches prior to this run.
Lasse Vibe has scored eight goals in his last 10 away Championship starts - he scored braces in consecutive games in March, went six away starts without a goal, and has since scored braces in each of his last two away starts.
Wolves have already won more home matches in all competitions this season (11) than they did in 2016-17 (10) and 2015-16 (nine).
The Bees shared a goalless draw with Wolves earlier this season - they have not drawn both league matches in a season goalless against an opponent in the second tier since 1947-48 against Plymouth.

from what I read they offered 500k and a place in their second team..we must be offering first team football to tempt him, the extra cash to Valencia would help but a mil is neither here nor there

Agree, their second team or our first team...no brainier if you want to play football!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't madrids second team play at the same level as us in the second tier?

Madrid's second team cannot be promoted. He would have to be good enough to break into Madrid's first team to play in the top tier otherwise go out on loan.

If he impresses here, he'll be playing top tier football later this year.

Real Madrid Castilla play in the third tier too. Seems like a no brainer for him really.

On my way down to Wolvo by the way

Careful its a bit windy down here. Did you know John Hendley by the way Bute? He passed away yesterday, Nuno dedicated the win to him. Sad day for those that knew him he was very popular around the club.

Yes - years ago I met him. He was editor of the programme too. I had a few cartoons in there back in the 70s.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didnt he run the old players bar in the old Waterloo road stand as well?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I only remember the Wolves Social Club next to the ground. Might pop in there on Sarurday, then maybe The Feathers, Molineux Hotel, and the one with the Minah bird, next to the subway.

Are you going to visit Wombourne Tandoori?

Its the only bit of Wombourne I know, because its right by the cricket ground. Whenever I have played there you can smell curry from the late afternoon onwards and it always smells really good.

The windmill bakery in Wombourne is worth a visit too - very good!
But the best thing to come out of Wombourne was my lovely wife!
