Can lightning strike twice? - not Posh's 4-1 defeat away to Chelsea in last season's third round, but John Terry's sending off in that game. Terry is due to return to the Villa line-up on Saturday.
Villa's 5-0 defeat of Bristol City does not augur well for us. Still, the 4,200+ Posh fans that will be gracing the North Stand, will be Posh's 12th man.
It's a shame that Gwiom Edwards will not (due to injury) be able to showcase his Championship-quality skills, but Marcus Maddison and Jack Marriott will be there to showcase those skills (and showcase them, I hope they will!). I hope also that Jonathan Bond, our excellent Reading loanee goal-keeper, will shine.
I'm hoping that Villa's Steve Bruce will be complacent after the New Year's Day win, and, at the very least, rest Snodgrass.
I'll be there willing a replay at the ABAX stadium.

Well done Posh

Thanks guys - back from the game. After letting that goal in after seven minutes, I feared the worst, but we then went on to take control of the game, and that continued in the second half. So, a deserved win, against a Villa team that lacked the passion we showed. Liverpool next please (not Yeovil!).

Villa can now concentrate on returning to the Prem, where they really should be. Fielding their full strength team should help.

Well, I would have preferred Liverpool, TF, but Leicester will certainly do. Good luck in the replay!

Interesting draw, I don't expect Fleetwood to roll over though. 👻

If they wish to progress, Leicester will need to field at least a close to full strength against Fleetwood (and then us). Other Premiership (and Championship) teams have made the mistake of making too many changes to their teams.
BTW, welcome back ScaryPosh.
