We as United fans like to complain a lot when things aren’t going our way but looking at Arsenal puts things into perspective.
This is not a wum article by the way nor am I wumming then over yesterday. We lost to Bristol with a stronger side out than they lost to Forest with. It happens.
The fact is though they finished 5th last season and are 6th now and I’d be very surprised to see them make top 4. It must so frustrating as an Arsenal fan as they are a huge club who should be performing much better.
Imo Wenger should have gone after the FA Cup win last year. He’d have left a hero and fans would have remembered the good times. Now it looks likely he will totally tarnish his legacy. That’s not to say that Wenger should foot all of the blame, he shouldn’t.
After handing him the new deal he should’ve been backed financially big time yet Arsenal’s net spend was about about 10 million. They signed Lacazette for 50 million and Kolasinac on a free. Both are good, neither are elite. They sold Ox for 35-40 million. In this day and age that net spend is low for a relegation battling club. They charge the highest ticket prices in the league.
They’ve let their two most talented players run their deals down and they will leave either this month for cut price fees or for free. You can’t blame Wenger for that. In current times it will probably cost at least 150 million to replace those two players. Can you see the owners coughing up? Highly unlikely. The way they are going Arsenal will fall back into the pack and the big 6 will become the big 5.
So when our fans are critiscising Ed and Jose we should remember we are actually moving forward as a club and showing ambition and it could be a lot worse.

We've been rubbish away from home for a year now. Would love to know when we last strung 2 wins in a row away from home.

That made me curious so I looked it up. Last two league away wins in a row was in May.

Wenger should have walked in 2014.
That said, he always finds some way to bounce back when all looks lost:
- The 0-3 win at Fenerbache after losing to Villa on Opening Day in 2013
- Beating City and Chelsea to win a record breaking FA Cup title after finishing outside the Top 4
- Beating Udinese in the CL playoff after losing 8-2 at Old Trafford
We're more than capable of improving our away form and finishing in the Top 4. We're easily the most talented team in the Europa, so could win that as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from beating Chelsea those other "achievements" are truly average, with the Chelsea one being poor as it was coupled with the squad dropping further behind its rivals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Every man and his dog thought we were gonna get beat by Fenerbache. To go there and crush them was a huge result. Likewise against Udinese, we had everyone injured and still somehow won.
2) The point is, that he digs out an unexpected or big result when it looks like it's all over. He'll probs do likewise this season.

And even those were dead rubber games with no pressure towards the end of the season. Can't believe it's gone on this long.

You were still fighting for fourth to be fair.

I was talking more from the opposition point of view in fairness.
Fecking Crystal Palace comfortably had us on toast 3-0 when they were fighting relegation.

Ohh sorry my bad. Palace have done a number on us a few times as well. Before this season they had beaten us three times in a row at Anfield

Wenger will never leave, he owns Arsenal. The only way out is to sack him, but the board are too weak.

Just found out Forest didn't even have a manager vs arsenal until they appointed Karanka yesterday

Worst and most disloyal supporters in the world.
Put it this way - Wenger has won more than Klopp since the Germans arrival at Liverpool.
Liverpool fans celebrate King Klopps history of failure, Arsenal fans ignore Arsenes FA Cups
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At least our manager has won things in his career.
