Myself am very anxious about even thinking of going up this season, our squad lacks depth & have not played together for a great period of time. Most teams that go up have had a few seasons to build a consistent squad. When looking at teams like Brighton & Burnley & in the past Swansea we look woeful. I agree going up would be great but, whipping boys comes to mind.
Sky predictor says Top 6 ?

Staying up in the PL is completely different to a 1 off game.

yea it is, but looking at the prem this season there isn't a lot separating 9th-17th, surely you'll have some money to strengthen

Think we'll fall short. We've had a dreadful January so far. Humiliation in the cup again, lost Saiz and Ayling. We need Saiz to have a blinder when he returns, some decent signings made and some luck if we're going to make it

Hands on hearts, how many people on here really feel that we will finish top six. We are down to bare bones.
By my reckoning, we have two highly suspect keepers,
Bera at right back who love him but doesn't offer much going forward and back up of a midfielder who is at best really slow and got beaten for pace over and over by a second division winger on Sunday.
Central defence looks OK but nobody to come in and fill the gap when either gets injured or suspended (no idea what the new lad is like but neither Pennington nor Shaughnessy have impressed recently).
Left back still yet to sign and if he doesn't or isn't up to the task, we have no cover.
Midfield, with Vieira out is highly suspect.
Saiz out for six matches.
Pablo looks tired,
Alioski hasn't really met expectations.
Ekuban out for god knows how long.
Lasogga, Roofe and Grot where do you start.
Not a chance we will finish 6th, sorry but that's how I see it.
We will not go down so I reckon we leave well alone and start preparing for next year.

Is this based on us not making any signings if we get promoted? I'm confused. How can anyone possibly predict that would be whipping boys.
Premier League money is essential to this club being successful again, no two ways about it. We need to in the premier again soon.

I agree, when Swansea went up I thought they'd be straight down, they did alright didn't they....you have a good ground, good following, "a name" I think with the investment you'd make a good fist of staying up

Do we trust Orta to be spending multi millions?
