So then, isn't this basically Irvine's 'coaching badges' comment worded differently.

IMO, Reynolds has done ok when he's played this season. I do think Bennett is 1st choice & if Semi was fit then I'd have Buxton ahead of him aswell but what good is saying this kind of stuff in the media going to do?

I know it's only a few quotes & we shouldn't read too much into it but are these the first signs of cracks appearing?

I'd be well happy if Clinton left. He's nothing but a prima donna who's best years are way behind him and he's done sod all for us.

Agree with those saying it's worrying how many players are becoming disgruntled; Megson's style doesn't seem to work.. I had my concerns when he was talking about pre-season training and the amount of long distance running they'll be doing. It's not the 80s anymore..

Tricky one. Irvines softly but firm approach failed. Laws comedy act failed appallingly when times got tough. If Megson's strict approach also fails what is left?

Luggy used the press to take the michael out of players . Maybe someone along those lines?

It's not the '80s anymore, that much is true. However, surely today's highly paid super-athlete can run up a little hill? Piece of cake, I'd have thought. Less moaning required, they don't know how lucky they are. <Dinosaur>

Quite right My Lord, I wish I was paid £10k per week to play football!

No need for the title here, Oxlong!

On this site we are all equal in our continuing misery.

That's the point. Izzy.........they can already do it so what's the point in having them do it over & over when they're paid to play a game that needs more planning for than making sure the players are fit.

Fitness levels should be a players individual responsibility imo. If they're not doing it then it'll become quite obvious & punishment can be handed out.

Fair enough in pre-season to get them all up to speed but once the season starts then the majority of time should be spent on coaching, tactics, working on game plans, studying the opposition, exploiting weaknesses, maybe even having a play with that round thing they have to move about on matchday!

Not saying they shouldn't do running because of the effort involved, just thought it a bit old-fashioned.

There was an article in the Guardian about Wolves's pre-season training and their coach was saying they don't have them doing anything in training they wouldn't do or benefir from in a match. It was all high-tech with heart monitors, computers and all that jazz.

Dont know about jazz i'd give 'em some Des O'Connor, that'll get the idle bleeders running alright.

No point in heart monitors with our lot, they have no heart!!!

Megson I think is fast becoming a joke. Name a successful manager who constantly calls out his own players!! As someone said the stevenage performance should have been dealt with on Wednesday and then they should have moved on!! And it should all be done behind closed doors, not in the press. I know they are after a story but he needs to control what he tells them.

As for Morrison leaving I don't really care but the overall effect on the team morale concerns me greatly.
