Klopp has apparently now confirmed that Karius is now number goalkeeper?
I personally don’t see what he’s done to achieve this award?
Mignolet for his faults is the more consistent keeper IMO? I just don’t see how Karius has claimed No.1 status?
Anyone see something I don’t?
Karius No.1?

As Everytone knows neither is good enough, but lets hope the rest of the team do their thing and we finish in the top 4. Evrytime time Karius came out he made you feel nervous.

i would hope mig plays every game until a new keeper is brought in.
its a good thing liverpool gives up so few shots because this guy only saves about 25% of them.

I think all it means is that Klopp has made his mind up about Mignolet and is giving Karius a chance.
I think a new keeper in the summer is a certainty. Depending on how Karius does, maybe even 2.

op..totally get klopps thinking here. Essentially hes seen enough of Mignolet and knows hes not the answer, so he has to try Karius.
karius has a run in the team now and its up to him to say yep, im your guy klopp. Its good from klopp, migs isnt good enough so hes dropped

Conversely it could be another kick that Mignolet needs
When he was dropped for Karius last season he responded excellently when recalled again

Yes that’s it!
Mig went for on quite a steak of looking assured and I don’t think he as bad as people make at, but even with both Karius and Mig, they just don’t have a good CB’s in front of them, maybe with VVD things can change m?

It's not that Mig is a terrible keeper. Fact is he's been here for many years and he's clearly never been at a level that would allow us to challenge for top honours if it came to that. He's not good enough for the levels we aspire, him and a few other positions in the squad.
The idea was that he would improve to become what we need but it hasn't happened and probably won't after this long.
We concede the lowest or near lowest number of shots on goal every season yet Mig concedes more than others. Its not just the center backs, Mig isn't good enough.

I agree that Migs days are numbered. However I would like to see us bringing in a replacement now. Even if it meant paying over the odds.

Klopp can give Karius the keeper’s shirt for the rest of the season if he wants, however a run in goal will make no difference. It’s not like this is the first or second time he’s dropped Mignolet and given Karius a ‘chance’ and every time he’s got to go in goal he’s either made an error or looked like making an error. Every time I’ve seen him play, he fills me with no confidence whatsoever. Spills the ball, drops the ball, flaps at it, gets beaten at the near post.
He had chances last season and didn’t look great, fair enough. He’s been given more chances this season to give him some confidence but still doesn’t look any better. I don’t want to be overly harsh on any of our players but Liverpool can do better. Mignolet is not in the class of De Gea, Courtois or Lloris but he’s decent enough until we can sign someone better whether it’s now or in the summer. I don’t get why Ward hasn’t had an opportunity for all the chances Karius has had; he can’t be any worse?

I agree with everything you said there!
Mig is probably weaker than almost all the other keepers in the top 6, but he isn't terrible and is a solid Premier League Keeper, so like you say I would play him until we find someone better!
Karius has more chances than a lot of players who have come and gone at Anfield and doesn't deserve his chance now, lets hope he proves us all wrong
