Tottenham transfer news

Or non news I should say.

It's that time of year again when our rivals strength and we do fack all.

Followed by a standard defence of him doing fack all by some of his admirers on this board.

Remember that season we were third in January and Levy brought in reinforcements in the shape of Ryan Nelson and Saha Well at least he did something.

You cannot stand still or you will stagnate and regress. It is abundantly clear we need a couple of new attacking options to freshen things up to push on for the rest of the season

Perhaps a wide player? unfortunately I assume "Darth Levy" will do absolutely nothing, with loads of Spurs fans defending that lack of ambition, as usual.

But from reading these comments, it sounds very similar to the complaints i've read/heard from your lot for years,
You have a good 1st team but weak-ish squad, which doesn't sustain over a whole season, hence the reason why you don't/can't win titles etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The squad hasn't exactly changed much in terms of quality from last season, but it was the same squad that got us to 86 points in the league, and is more than capable of winning something. We will have to see what we end up with.

There's always a feeling it can be improved upon though when you have Kane as our main striker and little depth behind him, and Sissoko gets used quite often when he's shown nothing of being a top 4 standard player so far.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The thing is Spurtle, i hate to say it but you lot are sounding a lot how we used to sound. Whatever you achieved the year before isn't really much, unless you try to IMPROVE from whatever you previously have done, if you don't, you get overtaken (we are a prime example), i feel Levy is not making that final push that you need to win the title, and if he doesn't, you'll find your team like us, players leaving to match their ambitions coz the club can't/won;'t.

I agree Levy needs to go that extra mile in terms of improving the squad with further quality than he's already provided, but the squad has so far improved a lot as it is under Poch, and depending on what happens at the end of the season, we could do better than last season. All this with a change of ground, which you have to say can and has had a negative impact on the performance levels, understandably.

More worrying are the cryptic quotes coming out of Spain where Poch has refused to distance himself from the Real Madrid job

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, I am sure Poch is going to leave Spurs, go to Real, get the sack in 12 months, and end up at Stoke. Sounds like a plan.

Honestly why do keep posting total bolllox?

I`d love us to somehow sell Sissoko and Janssen for somewhere around a combined £50m mark and put proceeds towards somebody like Zaha or Pulisic

Well we are 3 points of last season at this stage but in the next round of CL so we haven’t exactly regressed.

The season has not fecking ended yet. So how do you know Spurs have not progressed. I hate these sort of negative articles, Spurs have not won the league for nearly 60 years, so thinking they are going to progress from 2nd to champions is just going to automatically happen is total rubbish.

Just common sense. We are were in the title race last season and looked more consistent. We lost more games in the first quarter of this season that the entirety of last. We are struggling for top 4.
