What FA have done is stupid. The should've instead reverse the punishment. 3 extra games for Wenger to lead Arsenal after he's been sacked.

Does anyone on this thread know the process that the F.A. has in place for evaluating match officials. Is it a numerical system? Do managers have any input into the system? How are game assignments made?
If the F.A. does not have a system of competence measure for these officials, then "Why not?".
If this competence level is not met then the official(s) should be either fired or moved to a lower level for a period of re-orientation.
Whatever method of evaluation they do have, and its results, should be made public to the fans. After all, without the fans, we don't need an F. A. or officials!

There’s a referee assessor at each game who scores the ref and hands in a report to the fa as far as I understand it
