Adam Forshaw

Apparently we are confident of signing him from Smoggies. Is he a centre mid or a wide player. Colin at Baaardiff wants him but he favours us.

Don’t know where you saw the 10k rich but Liam’s have a real cost and club left with nothing at the end of it.

I only block people who are either abusive, create threads just to have a go or try and just stir up others, I'd just rather not have those people ruining my threads, simple as that.

I'm sure there are plenty here that disagree with me and I with them, but I don't filter them just because we disagree.

So we’re effectively replacing Bridcutt with Forshaw at cost to us of about 2 mill....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That’s about the gist of it. Bridcutt didn’t want to be a squad player so we let him go cheap. Then we pick up a squad player from a mid table champ team. Hey a year ago he was getting rave reviews in the Prem, times change quickly in football, so let’s hope he recovers that form.

As for plans and ‘panic buys’ the idea that this was instigated by o’kanes red card is worrying. Yes it’s a key time in the season, but I’m not a fan of adding volume because of injuries and cards...my view was if the players to improve the first 11 were available in jan we should sign them. Whether this guy does only time will tell.

my view and its only mine obviously. .

he will improve the starting 11. think hes a better play than all our CMS

him and vieira could do well together.

mate down here said wolves had summer bids rejected for him.

think he will prove to be a much better all round player than bridcutt.

okane -banned 3 games
phillips- 1 yellow away from a ban
vieira- having to nurse that tendonitis thats been troubling him all season
klich - not up to it

means we are very light in there.

hes a good age, fits the wage and transfer fee structure, bags of experience.

british - a lot of fans been crying out for.

boros number one player in passing, passing accuracy last season

looked at by southgate supposedly

teeside iniesta

vital cog in the machine

all comments made about him, never know hopefully he can get going and make a good impact.

From a twitterer:

For anybody that think Forshaw was just a bench warmer for Boro, he played 34 out of their 38 premier league games & completed the most passes, had the highest pass completion %, did the most sprints for them & covered the most distance too. What a signing, £2m, bargain. #lufc

Rich, i’ve barely seen the guy play. Never been a fan of Philips, but he seems to be first midfielder on the team sheet, so if this guy is better then great. I always liked bridcutt, funnily enough his passing stats are pretty good. Well the sideways and backwards ones. He just never had the distribution to hit a mud to long pass reliably.

Like everyone else I hope foreshaw is a first team player when everyone is back, I just hope they signed him because they have always wanted him, not just as another like for like midfielder because we have injuries/suspensions

My Boro mate - ST holder for years:

“Bargain for £2m.

Looked a class act at the start of last season in the PL, but fell away. Tidy player but don't expect him to be grabbing goals for you.

I like him though, always comes across as being a nice guy and never moans, hope he does well for you”

Boro fan in the office has just said similar Stoopo. Thinks we’ve potentially got a bargain......

It's been said (I said it yesterday), remember Ayling.
He was surplus to City and a meh signing. I'm starting
to have a good feeling that Forshaw could shore us up.
