There is absolutely nothing to look forward to as an Arsenal fan. Imagine selling your BEST player (an absolute beast) to a league rival. It is unforgivable. Surely no one in his right mind thinks we can get top 4 once Sanchez leaves us.
Common sense would have been to keep him until the summer and then try to get top 4 with him. The best we can get for him is 35m and I want to believe that Arsenal would make more money in CL.
Mhiki imo is an okay player. He is too similar in style to Ozil to actually be of any use to us. He's too light weight and the last thing we need is another player who doesnt tackle.
We all know that Dortmund will not sell Aubu this Jan. There is no time to adequately replace him.
I forsee us not making top 4 this and next season. Definitely Wenger is going to leave us in a really really awful shape. Arsenal will truly begin to rebuild after he leaves at the end of next season. Which will be a time when I can begin to be expectant.

Ozil has been "close to signing" for 6 months. I bet he's waiting until the end of the window to see what Arsenal have done on the transfer window.

IMO, Ozil definitely want to stay (or at least hasn't got the offers to leave) but wants to see the clubs ambition.
Must say, us selling Sanchez isn't much ambition, thus the supposed interest in Aubameyang.

I guess your board couldn’t face the embarrassement of letting your best player go for free? It must’ve been a tough one though, better chance of top4 and leave in the summer, or a nice decent lump sum now and try and get a replacement in before the end of Jan.

His attitude has been terrible by all accounts, his form is nowhere near what it was, he doesn't want to play for us, we aren't getting close to top 4 with him in the squad so we may as well make some money out of him. At least we get a player that, ok isn't a brilliant player, but can do ok for us. Much better than the deal we got for Van Persie. If we just got money for him we know it would be in Big stans back burner, this way we get something palpable for him.

To be fair Sanchez will will be almost 30 when next season starts. Can’t really blame him for taking the £500k + per week on a 5 year deal from United.

Wenger has clung like a limpet to his job despite our long term incremental decline under his stewardship - so there is no guarantee that he will do the decent thing - & is anybody confident that clueless Silent Stan would sack him ?
