I think this guys very unlucky not to be in our first eleven. Whenever he plays he looks solid defensively and comfortable on the ball - I think he's a clear upgrade on Cahill and I think the only thing keeping him in the team over Rudiger is his passion/leadership.
As a team, we haven't conceded a goal in something like 640 minutes when he's played - 7 clean sheets in a row. He's also scored a couple of league goals (1 very important) already.
He seems a good character as well, vocal in the dressing room by all accounts and generally a happy, popular player.
I think he was our best bit of business over the summer. To get a German international, under the age of 25 for £30M really isn't bad going in today's market.

I said that when we bought him, 24 years old,a German international ,a good attitude and mindset,a future captain I think.Don't forget also, he's still settling in. We have every reason for optimism in my opinion.

Young, quick, strong, versatile and a different type of defender to the others we have. Should be starting every week for me, and can only see him improving

I think he’s been very good so far, and long term will get better and better. I also think Cahill has had (quietly) a very good season so far.
I really liked yesterday’s back 5 -
Moses - Azpi - Christensen - Rudiger- Alonso.
Very promising for the future. (If we stick to this formation.)

Alonso appears to be getting slower physically and mentally.
Second to every duel possible on Saturday, one step behind the play. New LB/LWB can't come soon enough.
Moses doesn't appeal to me either but currently better option than Zappacosta.
Unbeaten in 9 without Cahill (8 wins & 1 draw).

Really solid defender who has settled well now. I'm also impressed with his quality of long balls, he's up there with Luiz in that regard.
