The bottom line is we have a consistent problem breaking teams down that park the bus. I can’t blame Swansea for playing the way they did it was their best chance of winning.
For me Lallana was the wrong player to bring on the last thing we needed was a tippy tappy player in a congested midfield.
We needed to get the ball wide but we just don’t seem to have much quality when the game calls for us to do that.

Liverpool opted to pass it across the midfield over and over and over and over.
The amount of times they got into crossing positions and cut back into the midfield was ridiculous.

Against those teams you need quicker passing. Robertson and Gomez were very slow in the attacking sense.
Fullbacks who can cross were the better option today.

That was the plan and what we were poor at. Stretch the opposition wide then bring it back in when there's more space. Crossing into a box with ten defenders in it isn't likely to work as showed everytime we crossed the ball.

Robertson did put in a couple of good crosses but attackers were not at it today.

Yeah Robertson put in some decent balls tbf, might have got something if we had got him the ball more often.
Gomez on the other hand made my eyes bleed.

Putting balls in was going to get us nowhere tonight, we haven't got the sort of striker who can attack them.

What were the possession stats?

Disagree they were crap. They defended brilliantly and Xserved to win.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They only deserved to win because we missed good chances. VVD header, Salah volley, Mane volley, Firmino header/Lallana.
They were crap.
They tried hard and time wasted well, but they were crap.
Results don’t determine the level of performance of the opposition.

If you want to believe that then fine. Either way we got what we our performance deserved, zilch.
