Eric Bailly

Haven’t missed him as much as we could’ve done, due to Jones form. Been solid even with partners changing.

Bailly needs a long run without injuries now, although this serious one is just unfortunate.

Hmmm this seems a little rushed. Depends on the ankle surgery he's had done, if an arthroscopy then I suppose so, but we've actually been surprisingly solid at the back so why rush it

Good stuff. Need to get him back fit and in alongside Jones. It's our best cb partnership.

All in all - whether he was rushed in or not, club certainly feels assured that we have a reliable cover for the league, CL, and FA

He might be our best CB, but as long and Smalling and Jones are both fit there is no need to rush him back into anything.

I don't think he's our best CB, I think Jones is, at the moment, but Bailly has time to improve.

True but I'd sooner have him back. I think his partnership with Jones makes quite a difference to our defence. We look much more solid and defend better in the air with Bailly on the pitch. De Gea tends to have more work to do when Bailly is injured.

His injuries are a worry though. Why can't we have a cb that can go a whole season without picking up loads of injuries? Seems an age since that has happened with us. Probably going back to Vidic in 2009.

We are doing ok without him. The last time we conceded a goal was Boxing Day I believe.
Love to have him back though cracking player when he is concentrating although now and again he can be a bit casual or laxidacical

Bailly is average in the air. I think Jones is better than him but Bailly is younger and isn’t far off.

By far our best centre back.
