Top news, hope it turns out to be true. He can be a lazy beggar at times, but he knows where the back of the opponents net is, and that's something we need if we're to escape this division next season.

Should we get him i'll be Interested to see if he's slimmed down, sharper, more athletic having undergone Megsons summer boot-camp. Always thought while he looked overweight he was pretty nippy, so will he be any sharper or will we lose the physical element of his game which he used to great effect bullying defenders?

Paul Walker has been on Twitter twice today tweeting about this. First one said he had spoken to Phil Brown who told him no fee had been agreed and he wasn't looking to sell him. The second one said the deal will only happen if PNE are prepared to take a financial hit on the deal and that looks unlikely.

It appears, that on the face of it, at the momemnt it's far from a done deal.

He also said that Spurr could be on his way to Dagenham and Redbridge. Could that be part of a deal for Danny Green?
