Squad until the summer

Aurier is a quality player, and in his first full season. As good as Trippier was last night, his crossing was still poor, yes I know he crossed for the deflected own goal, but a lot of the time he was doing well to get right down the line, but then was looking always for a player just to pass to, rather than whip in good crosses like he was doing last season. Aurier I think will cement the right back spot, when he returns from injury.

what happened to the striker in the academy a few years ago, people were saying was going to be the best thing since sliced bread (i don't mean Kane btw) ?

Wanted Llorente out this window and was hoping we’d be able to lure someone like Gameiro or Vietto on loan. Would rather have Admin 2 instead of Llorente ffs.

In the summer I’d sell Llorente, Sissoko and either Vorm or Gazzaniga. Not too sure if Gazzaniga is or isn’t nation-trained, if he’s not then that defeats the object of signing him surely?

If a decent offer came in for Dembele I’d sell, if not then let him leave on a free in June 2019 when his contract is up.

what has gazzaniga done to offend you ? the only time he played he did well.

also seems ridiculous to me letting dembele go. he could easily have another 2 seasons after next where he could do a useful job, even if it's as a squad player.

Gazzanga is a foreign signing so all 3 goalkeepers take spaces up of non homegrown

Vorm is 34 and out of contract so I’m pretty sure he’ll leave.

He hasn’t offended me, but as you’ve alluded to, he’s only played once for us and he’s not likely to change unless Vorm leaves. Hence why I said Vorm or Gazzaniga. Most clubs 3rd keeper is a token homegrown bloke purely for the quota, such as Richard Wright being on City’s books for about 4 years and never playing

Fair comments about the goalkeeping situation. To me still, if we're even bothering to comment on that, it shows how healthy the squad is looking overall.

I'm surprised though that there isn't more focus in the comments on strikers.

I think we are mostly agreed that llorente is about as much use as a man with one leg, which, with Son showing that he's far better used elsewhere, leaves us completely reliant on Kane.

Is there another top 6 club that doesn't have 3 strikers they could rely on to score goals ?
