New favourite for the Scotland gig, I wouldn't be opposed to that appointment, knows the set up, will hopefully bring through the younger players and revamp the whole squad
Gary Caldwell and McLeish interested too but think we really need a change and therefore Gemmill for me ahead of these two, would even give Caldwell the U21 job.
Why not McLeish, well I reckon he would go as soon as clubs start to sniff around again

It would be a risky appointment for Regan to make. He'll want to keep his job and Gemmill would create more furore, not the 'big name' lots of fans expect, think he'd rather appoint Felix Magath.
Personally, why not? Nothing to lose and we're not exactly fighting off quality applicants, even if it flops it could set up a pathway for future young scottish coaches.

McLeish to me looks like he's losing it a wee bit mentally? Last few times I've seen him on the tele he's not made much sense and seemed a bit slow.
I actually couldn't care less who gets the job tbh. Actually hate watching Scotland and hate international breaks.

Not many folk would get excited about Gemmill getting the job and a lot would want somebody with greater and wider experience, particularly of working in a job with real pressure and media scrutiny. But who knows how it might work out, if it happened?

I wouldn’t bother switching on another game Olof he got the job. Most insipid, boring, lackluster, feeble choice. All he did was warm the bench under Craig Brown. But typifies everything wrong with the SFA in the jobs-for-the-Boys attitude.

Scot Symon's full name was James Scotland Symon. He became known by (part of) his middle name because his father was also called James.
