Goodbye Chrissy & Johnny 👍

I'm a little surprised that more hasn't been made on this board of the departures of JR & CM from the club this week. I know that Chris' is a loan, but as I don't see, or hope, that GR will be leaving this club any time soon, I think that's effectively an end to his time as a Ram.
Although some may use this as a last opportunity to slate them, I think it's only right for someone to thank them for everything they have done for dcfc and wish them all the best for the future.
Personally, it's finally an end to my romantic notion of Chrissy, Johnny, Will & Brys taking us to the Promised Land. Perhaps if each of them, or the players around them, had been slightly more complete players, we might have made it. But regardless of that, they provided us with some of the best football I have seen Derby play, at PP & elsewhere. I shall never forget the 5-0 or taking Brighton apart in the playoffs. Johnny's goal against Forest, Chrissy's lay off for Bryson's 2nd and his assist for CB's volley at Fulham are just a tiny example of their contributions, but will remain with me forever. And if the memory fails, the compilations of their brilliant goals and assists on Youtube will be there to remind me.
I always felt that they were proud wearers of the black & white and although, depending on your opinion, they may or may not go down as Rams legends, they certainly left their mark on this club over recent years, when others, less committed to the cause, will just fade into oblivion.
So, bye Chrissy & Johnny and good luck in your future endeavours.
You'll always be Rams in my eyes and I can't give you a finer compliment than that.

I’ve spoke to CM this afternoon and he’s looking forward to the next journey in his career. He loves Derby and is hoping he still has a part to play in helping Derby get promoted this season. 64 goals for the Rams isn’t bad for a free transfer. And he’s not being paid £30k a week

Well, they were all Scottish, 3R, I'll give you that much. Maybe it's the shallowness of the gene pool that makes them so resemble each other.

It was the style of play which did the reminding. JO'H would get the ball, control it and lay off a pass for Kev. or other player. Archie was small and buzzed around with great energy and created some good chances - and scored a good few too. He never gave up and neither did JR. Doesn't mean they were equally as great but watching them gave a lot of pleasure to most Derby fans including me.

Hi Griff, That's really kind of you. Can I think about it for a day or two? What time would you leave and roughly when would you be back? Just weighing the length of the day. It's a great offer. Will let you know.

I would like to add my thanks and bet wishes to both of them. It was a pleasure and an honour to watch them as it was many others in Rams history. Charlie George, Kevin Hector, Alan Hinton, Colin Todd and the greta Roy McFarland. Ron Webster John Robson and David Nish with many others who all made history at the BBG. None of them was perfect but great characters they were.

CM reminded me somewhat of John O'Hare and JR quite a bit, of Archie Gemmill. I can't praise higher that that.
