It doesn't matter

Who we get in
Its going to be the same old story
However we cannot possibly compete with the Manchester clubs so don't expect abother bounce to win the title anytime soon

Its the board that is to blame for this, mostly anyway conte if unwilling to work with what he had this season should have gone in the summer

The board needs a re shuffle
We need some proper football men as a link between manager and board not a woman and not a former Nigerian women's manager

Absolute shambles

Whoever made the signingsame of bakayoko Drinkwater Barkley etc needs shooting

Dark days ahead for Chelsea whoever we bring in

Flash I'm being serious. Look at what he's been saying over the course of this season. He's been taking digs at the board. More so than any other manager we've had.

Kneerash, it doesn't matter what the fans think really mate.

The two important parties, the board and Conte are not getting along.

OP

Why cannot Chelsea compete with the Manchester Clubs? They have a billionaire owner, who thought nothing of spending lots when he came in. So what`s happened since? Curious how he seems to have pulled in the purse strings. Is he getting bored?

If Chelsea cannot compete, then no club in the Prem can.

Conte was slouched against the pillar in the dugout for the whole game yesterday, not even a smile when Hazard equalised. To me that says he wants to leave ASAP.

Yeah. So the players shouldn't be getting the blame. I know fans are saying the players are downing tools again etc. How can they play when the manager is scrěwing around, playing with fire against the board.

Yeah it seems very fractured alright, I guess it's a precarious situation as you can stick with Conte to see if he turns t around and gets top 4, or it could continue badly and you miss out.

But can't see why he'd get sacked today while still in top 4 and in CL.

I said last week after Bournemouth that it looked in that game like the players had downed tools (or some) but last night was even more painful to watch.

Because it does to me, look like he's deliberately sabotaging the team to force a sacking and a nice pay off.

We have some very talented youth which we can mix with the senior team. It's not as dark as what people are saying. Mix and blend the youth in. They are not s%%t they are the best. With a good manager who can give the like of Musonda confidence. I actually think we will do well

No one has mentioned Costa in this thread. The alleged breakdown in communication between board and manager is very much a part of this IMO. Very badly handled by the Conte who thought he could put himself before the team, by making the fracas personal. I hope if he leaves that some plausible explanation is forthcoming. Supporting the manager does not feel as convincing now as it did then.
Costa's departure has more ramifications than we knew at the time .
